With the release of the Updated and Expanded Florida Class of 2020 Rankings yesterday, today we take a look at ten risers in the rankings who have impressed and stood out throughout the summer months.

All the players highlighted below made a jump into the Top 50 and are broken down through report and video. This also includes three uncommitted players who will be high follows heading into the fall season:

CARSON MONTGOMERY/ RHP / WEST ORANGE, FL / 2020

Florida State recruit, Montgomery has really filled out his frame, especially in the lower half and overall has made some huge strides on the mound. Has a clean, quick arm and the fastball sits 90-93 mph touching 94. The slider has shown potential in the past and has now turned into a true plus pitch. Works at 81-84 mph with hard and late breaking with tight spin, coming out of the same tunnel as the fastball. Extremely athletic with still much more to come.

BEN VESPI/ RHP / AMERICAN HERITAGE DELRAY, FL / 2020

Central Florida recruit. The big right-hander has a long, lanky, and big time projectable frame. He features a very low effort arm action from a 3/4 slot. Fastball has tilt at 88-90 mph touching 91 along with a hard slider at 75-76 mph with downward action and potential to be a plus swing and miss pitch. Also flashes a 79-80 mph changeup. Overall, he has shown an extremely high ceiling and one to follow closely.
