Team Preview

The State of Florida is well-represented this week at the 2019 Future Games with players of high talent. Our pitching rotation has several pitchers with high ceilings, clean arm actions, and strong frames starting with Cameron Clines and Dominic Castellano, who both have a loose arm action and sit in the mid to upper 80’s. Fisher Jameson and Sebastian Martinez are both two big-framed players who also show a lot of upside. Some of our two-way guys who have dual strengths as position players and pitchers are Ashton Fedorek, Carsten Finnvold, and Bradley Hodges. The pitching staff has some quality receiving guys behind the plate with Jordan Jerkins, Josh Steidl and Broedy Poppell, all who have advanced skills catching with good pop times.

The corners will be well represented with strong-framed athletes of Brett Blair, Cole Russo, William Hagen and Connor Wilt. All have above-average bat speed with pull-side power and high-ceiling to project power to all fields. Florida has some middle infielders showing plus defensive skills with Jake Mummau, Damien Goulart, and Joseph Phan, and all with quality arms across the diamond.

The outfield is filled with probably our strongest all-around players. It is loaded with players like Aaron Saltsman, Justin Quintana, and AJ Nessler leading the way with both having above-average first steps and plus skills at the plate. Other players with big upside are Dylan Bowen, Jack Cue, Tyler Gerteisen, and Clayton Hodges, all with athletic frames and high ceilings for growth.

This Future Games Team looks to be promising with plenty of talent from every position on the field and numerous guys with big upsides and high baseball IQ.
