Tampa, FL - Tuesday night featured a district matchup between Steinbrenner and host Wharton. Wharton was 12-3 heading into this game and had their ace, 2022 Miami commit Ryan Fry on the mound. Fry has been dominant this spring and continued with another strong start Tuesday night. Fry would go 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 6. Fry sat 88-90 for most of the game and topped out at 91. He was able to get plenty of swings and misses on the breaking ball and mixes in an above average changeup.

On the other side for Steinbrenner, uncommitted 2022 Joey Daniels got the start and was very effective. He sat 81-84 but threw a SL/CT type pitch that had hitters off balance. Daniels cruised through the first 5 innings but ran into some trouble in the 6th. He finished with 5.1 innings, 4 runs on 6 hits with 4 strikeouts.
