Game Recap: Camp Hill at West Perry

By Greg Williams
Pennsylvania Director of Scouting

West Perry 8, Camp Hill 6

West Perry put on a clinic in small ball Thursday afternoon using just five hits to score eight runs in an 8-6 win over Camp Hill. The Mustangs benefited from 10 walks and bunted six times. They also swiped nine bases along the way in putting constant pressure on the Lions defense.

It was Camp Hill however that looked like it was on its way to a victory early as they jumped on West Perry starter Logan Mann for four 1st inning runs. The Lions sent eight men to the plate and used five hits including an RBI single from Andrew Freedenberg, an RBI single from Wyatt Beddow and a two RBI double from Quinn Buffington.

Camp Hill cut the deficit to 4-3 in the third and took its first lead on a two out, two RBI single by Brendon Bussom in the bottom of the 4th inning. The Mustangs added on with a pair of runs in the 5th and 6th and and a trio of West Perry pitchers held the Lions to just two 7th inning runs the rest of the way.
