PBR Future Games Player Spotlight: 2018 RHP Nic Daniels

By Doug Freeman
Florida Scouting Director

On August 4-6th PBR Florida traveled to Westfield, Indiana at Grand Park for the 2016 Prep Baseball Report Future Games powered by Under Armour which featured seven players from the state of Florida. These players received some high level exposure as over 150 colleges and over 175 coaches/scouts were in attendance. Team Select, which the seven Florida players were on, went 3-0 in their showcase games.

All this week we will breakdown each of the seven players with video, game performance, and scouting reports. Here's 2018 RHP Nic Daniels

2018 RHP Nic Daniels (East Lake HS, FL) was consistently 86-88 mph with his fastball that showed arm side life. He also showed a good feel for his secondary stuff with his slider 68-70 mph and the change up ranging from 70-72 mph. At 6-foot-4 180 pounds he showed a clean, easy repeatable delivery. When he gets fully extended the fastball has late life, the slider has good late biting action, and the change up becomes an above average pitch. He had two clean innings, striking out two and inducing multiple ground balls in his two appearances showing a feel for pitching with room to continue to clean a few things up, fill out, and make another jump.
