Scouting Report

10/04/19

Vanderbilt recruit, currently ranked No. 365 nationally in the 2021 class, No. 2 in Minnesota. Physical 6-foot-2, 190-pound switch-hitting catcher. On Friday night, he did his damage from the left side. Long and strong in the box, he lofted a towering double to right-center field in his first at-bat. Later, he launched a no-doubt, taper-blast home run to right field.

Flat barrel through the zone and he has the strength to drive the ball deep into the gap now, and projects for much more power in the future. While the frame is solid, it is not yet mature, with more growth to come. Strong receiver and had pop times of 1.88-2.06. It’s rare to see that much lag in the zone for a young kid, and the fact that he can do it from both sides is very impressive.
