Preseason All State Spotlight 2020 1B/LHP CJ Kayfus

On January 27th, 2018 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, 100 of the top high school prospects ranging from the 2018-2021 classes will participate in Preseason All-State which is the premier kickoff event for the 2018 spring high school season. Preseason All-State will feature high-end draft talent, numerous Division 1 recruits, and some of the top uncommitted underclassman in the state.

Leading up to the event we will highlight each upcoming participant through their own individual spotlight which includes video, reports, and more. Today we take a look at 2020 1B/LHP CJ Kayfus of Palm Beach Central HS, FL.

11/13/17- Committed to the University of Miami.

10/11/17-The lefthanded hitting 2020 was one of the two 2020s on the Scorpions Prime team and you can see why. The left handed hitter shows the ability to turn the barrel and stays in the zone a long time. He has above average bat speed and shows the ability to square up velocity. He still has a lot of room to fill out and can see him having above average power as he gets stronger. The bat will make him a high follow going forward.

08/26/17: Left-handed hitting first baseman with a lean, athletic build with long levers. At the plate shows an advanced approach with loose wrists and has a feel for the barrel.
