Class of 2025 Rankings: Biggest Risers

Hudson Graham
PBR Georgia Scouting Director

After a busy summer full of events, the Class of 2025 Player Rankings is long overdue for an update as these players head into their juior year of high school. There were a ton of new names who entered into the fold, as well as a number of others who continue to elevate their game, warranting plenty of movement and expansion (now 250 players) to the list. Most of the same names are still inside the Top-10 from the last update, but there's some shakeup within.

Biggest Risers

Terrance Bowen SS / 2B / Alexander , GA / 2025

We talked about Bowen yesterday in the top 10 breakdown, but still need to mention his jump from the #19 spot in May. The consistent hard contact and plate discipline has taken Bowen's play to the next level. The consitent hard barrells he produced at NPI and Future Games has taken his stock up an entire level.

Jackson Taylor SS / 3B / Walton , GA / 2025

The video below is early spring when Taylor was beginning to find his groove. He slowly made his way up the line up and landed in the 2 hole. In the top 10 breakdown yesterday we showed footage of him over the summer. Everything about Taylor looks smoother, more athletic and shows off the obvious added strength. The srtides he made from March to June have been impressive. He will be an exciting follow after his breakout peformance at Future Games.

Eston Simpson RHP / 1B / Jefferson , GA / 2025

The growth from Simpson was mentioned in Wednesday's rankings release, but after his spring to summer progression we are sure to see Simpson continue to rise. The 2022 Future Games MVP will be Jefferson's number 1 arm headed into the spring season. As Simpson continues to add strength the velo willl continue to rise, and he will soon creep into the low 90's and will continue to be one of the top arms in the class.

Dean Livingston RHP / SS / Hebron Christian Academy , GA / 2025

Our national director of scouting said, "One of my favorites from day 1" at the 2022 future games. Livingston has one of the highest ceilings in the class with tons of potential for some big velo numbers. The 6'3 frame has a ton of room to fill out and will be one to watch this spring and next summer.

John Stuetzer SS / OF / Pope , GA / 2025

Without a doubt one of the best all around athletes in the class, Stuetzer has slowly taken off after his breakout spring at Pope. He led them to a runner up state championship performance at the top of the lineup. The all around sterngth and power translates to all parts of his game. He explodes out of the box, and is always thinking double. He is explosive on the base paths, and can change the game with his feet. He can control the game in CF or slide up to SS to show off his effortless actions and easy arm strength.

Josh Gibbs SS / RHP / Forsyth Central, GA / 2025

Georgia comit. Pound for pound one of the stongest bats in the class. He hit .383 this spring and led the team with 36 hits. This summer at NPI he consistly found the barrell and seemed like he was on base every time we saw him. The raw bat speed carries the power in his spring, and will surely add to his home run count this spring at Forsyth Central.

Matthew Pearch RHP / 3B / Dunwoody , GA / 2025

The QB1 had a breakout summer, and earned a spot on the 2022 Future Games Squad. After his first big summer as a starter he gained valuable mound time that will prepare him for what I expect to be a big spring. He has been up up to 91 with some plus metrics on his fastball. The sky is the limit with Pearch, and will continue to polish his pitches as he will chalk up a ton of innings this spring with Dunwoody.

Peyton Robidoux RHP / OF / Whitefield Academy, GA / 2025

Robidoux tossed nearly 30 innings with 31 strikouts this summer, and ran the fastball up to 88 on one of top 16u teams in the state. He will be another one to keep an eye on this spring after jumping from 118 to 66 in this post summer update.

Will Holder SS / Harlem, GA / 2025

Georgia Southern commit. Holder came onto the scene in his state championship run with Harlem. He helped them tally 36 wins with only 1 loss, and contributed both at the plate and on the mound. On the Holder operates in the mid to upper 80's with 2 off speed pitches that he can throw for strikes in any count. The 6'4 frame is uber projectible, and easily has low 90's in the lank.

Avery Wilson OF / RHP / Hillgrove , GA / 2025

Wilson is another prospect that popped up in the state playoffs, and had a strong showing at Top Prospect Games in June. 6.49 runner, 91 from the OF, and 90 exit velocitys proves Wilson has all the tools to be one of more dynamic plyers in the class.
