Brennan Milone, SS, Woodstock HS, GA (South Carolina)

OTHERS TO WATCH:A second Alabama-committed shortstop in the state could hear his name heard high enough in the draft to opt for pro ball: Myles Austin (Westlake HS, GA). He’s lanky, projectable, and is graceful in the middle of the infield, with tools aplenty. RHP Will Childers (Lakeside-Evans HS, GA) is a Georgia recruit with a 6-foot-4 frame to dream on. One of the biggest pop-up names in this year’s draft conversations is RHP Brett Thomas (Riverwood HS, GA. The South Carolina missed practically two seasons with injury. He has two plus pitches, including a fastball ranging from 90-96 mph. IF Brennan Milone (Woodstock HS, GA) is another pop-up type who hit a ton this spring and gained some helium late. He is reaping the benefits of strength gains, showing more bat speed and power to his pull side. OF Tres Gonzalez (Mount Vernon Presbyterian HS, GA) has an athletic frame and good speed. RHP Mason Barnett (Cartersville HS, GA) saw his old batterymate Anthony Seigler selected in the 2018 draft. He’s most effective pitching at 88-91, but can run his fastball up to 93-94. RHP Zach Maxwell (North Paulding HS, GA) has a strong frame at 6-foot-6, 245 pounds. He’s a power-armed right-hander and the ball jumps out of his hand, though he needs to harness his control. RHP Ramsey David (Buford HS, GA) has an athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds and has shown improved command over the last year. He pitches comfortably in the high 80s and has a sharp breaking ball. What LHP Davis Rokose (Chattahoochee HS, GA) lacks in size and upside, he makes up for in pitchability with his simple and repeatable delivery from the left side. RHP Connor Housley (Sandy Creek HS, GA) is a Tennessee recruit with a tall, slender frame and a super fresh arm. This converted outfielder checks all the boxes in terms of projection, athleticism, and age. RHP/OF Jackson Finley (Richmond Hill HS, GA) is a two-way prospect committed to Georgia Tech and has the size to go along with the power-speed combo, but can also really sink a baseball on the mound. 1B Kyle Bork (St. Francis HS, GA), a Minnesota commit, has a ton of right-handed power. Finally, Marc Church (North Atlanta HS, GA) is new to the mound, but garnered some attention this spring thanks to his raw talent, velocity and athleticism.
