2014 22nd Ranked Prospect Heading to Cincinnati

Hamilton Southeastern junior outfielder Tre Gantt recently gave his commitment to the University of Cincinnati and Head Coach Brian Cleary.  Gannt began playing in Indiana his sophomore year after moving from Iowa and then Missouri.  He quickly asserted himself into HSE's starting lineup, eventually becoming a full time outfield starter.

Gantt attended the Preseason All State Showcase last February in Indianapolis where it was easy to see why he was going to have the opportunity to compete for a starting role as a sophomore.  He glided to the baseball with ease, and ran an impressive 6.81 sixty.  At the plate Gantt hits from the left side with a smooth swing.  He will have to gain strength in order to hit at the next level, but possesses many of the tools necessary to become a top of the lineup type player who can handle the bat.

For Hamilton Southeastern this past spring Gantt hit .314, with 7 2B, 25 Runs, and stole 8 bases.
