As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

Head Coach Steve Strayer and the Crown Point Bulldogs graduated a talented 2013 class, led by Zach and Ron Pleasc.  The Bulldogs return just three positional starters and two arms this spring.  Louisville commit Noah Burkholder will lead Crown Point on the mound.  The 6-foot-6, 190 pound righty is ranked No. 3 in Indiana's class of 2015 rankings and No. 7 in PBR's 2015 overall rankings.  Burkholder is one of the most touted RHP's in the Midwest with a fastball up to 90 mph.  Last season Burkholder went 6-0 with a 1.43 ERA.  Seniors Glenn Hecht, Jake Jenks and Tyler Downing will run the outfield this spring.  Hecht hit .333 with 1 HR as a Junior last year. Jenks belted 2 HR as a Junior while hitting .278. Downing will look to improve his offensive contributions this spring.
