As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:

The Fort Wayne North Side Redskins are looking to improve upon their 8-17 record in 2013.  Head Coach Alex McKinstry's team returns a veteran group this spring that he expects to contend for a Summit Athletic Conference championship.  The Redskins are led by the No. 7 ranked player in Indiana's 2014 class, SS Zach McKinstry.  The Central Michigan commit is a 6-foot, 165 pound senior that hit .596 last spring, and earned his third All SAC selection.  He will lead the Redskins both in the field and at the plate in 2014. Ethan Caywood, a senior RHP, returns as the Redskins ace.  Last season the righty posted a 3.42 ERA. Coach McKinstry will also look upon RHP Wes Sark to contribute on the mound.  Junior catcher Dakota Reinking, senior 2B Brett Jones, and senior 3B Keegan Carroll will all be key contributors this spring.
