On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

We're highlighting incoming senior southpaw Brayton Thomas, from Indiana's Bishop Dwenger HS who's also committed to the in-state Hoosiers. PBR Indiana's lead scout, Cooper Trinkle, was in attendance for a great look at Thomas during one of his spring outings this past season. Here's an excerpt from that scouting report:

"The 6-foot-4, 220 pound southpaw has really transformed his body since last summer and is beginning to look the part of a professional prospect. Thomas was outstanding in this look, tossing a 7-inning, complete game with 12 strikeouts to earn the win. The Indiana recruit attacked hitters from a deceptive, low ¾ arm angle that produced a heavy fastball with major arm-side run at 87-92 mph, T93, and he was able to go to both sides of the dish with it. The sturdy southpaw held his velocity fairly well throughout the start, pitching at 87-89 mph in the seventh. His 73-77 mph slider was a plus pitch at times with sharp bite and the ability to get to a right-handed hitter's back foot. I was impressed with his ability to locate his 78-80 mph changeup to his arm side when he needed it, and he also flashed a 70-72 mph curveball for strikes early in the count. Thomas proved on this night why he will be one of the top prep left-handers in next year’s 2024 draft class."
