2026 Fall State Games: Sunday Preview
October 7, 2026
The Indiana Fall State Games now has nearly 200 college commitments in the five-year history that we have run the event, including (44) eventual Division I signees. This year's edition looks to be on par with several enticing names on the list amongst the recruitable players. For a quick preview, I've compiled a "cheat-sheet" of sorts for recruiters, highlighting all unsigned seniors and 15 of the highest ranked 2028's set to compete on Sunday, October 11th.
Each prospect will only participate on one specific day, Saturday or Sunday. Stay on the lookout for exact pitching rotations for each day.

Top-Ranked 2028s in Attendance
+ SS Isaac Fernandez, Fishers
Future Gamer from 2026. Ranked #28 in the class; #7 SS. Switch-hitter who is fundamental in all areas to go along with plenty of room to get stronger in a 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. 6.8-runner, left-side arm strength. One of the youngest position players in our Top 50. Bat to ball is a carrying trait offensively.
+ OF/LHP Austin Martzall, Shelbyville
Ranked #34 overall and the #7 OF on our board. Athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 173-pounds; holds the upside to play centerfield at the next level due to 6.7-speed. Also adds alluring power potential in the left-handed bat as he's reached peak exits of 99 mph. The arm is another above average tool in his bag and there is clear upside as a left-handed pitcher, as well.
+ SS Nathan Sheets, Crown Point
Ranked #45 overall; #11 SS. Twitchy MIF prospect who is a bit undersized, although the tools and twitch play well above the size. 6.7-runner with doubles power and a quick right-handed bat. Feet are best attribute defensively while also boasting an above average arm.
+ OF Colton Shipp, Whiteland
#59 overall and the #12 OF in the 2028 class. A right-handed hitter who has hit at each stop on the summer and fall circuits. Produces power in a swing the works behind the baseball good for 98 mph peak exits. Solid supporting tools; 87 OF arm to pair with a 7.08 60-yard dash.
+ OF Ryan Lackman, Tri-West
Ranked #68 overall and is a T15 OF'er amongst a strong crop in the 2028 class. Gained significant traction this summer with out staff due to a blend of hit/power potential from the left side. Posted triple digit exit velocities during the summer showcase circuit while also hitting at every stop. 6-foot-1, 185-pounder who profiles in the corner outfield.
+ SS TJ Richason, Carmel
Ranked #69 overall and as the #15 SS currently. Cracked the everyday lineup for Carmel as a sophomore. Sure-handed defender who has shown left-handed bat-to-ball over a multi-year track record. Secondary tools are average, but trending well; 7.05 runner with a low-80s arm this summer. 5-foot-10, 180-pounder.
+ RHP/OF Will Tielker, Zionsville
A right-handed arm that I am excited for on Sunday. Athletic 6-footer who is ranked #80 overall in the 2028 class. Arm strength / action is impressive; clean arm stroke that has produced a mid-80s fastball and OF velocity T 92 mph in the past.
+ SS Jacob Caldemeyer, Evansville Mater Dei
One of the better infield defenders in the class and showed it throughout 2026 including manning everyday duties @ the shortstop position for 2A State Champions. R/R bat who is more skilled than tooled to this point in our evaluations.
+ RHP Owen Porter, Fishers
A high-upside arm who could certainly be a pick-to-click of mine entering this event. Fastball reached 87 mph this summer with some jump out of the hand. Shows a pair of breaking balls that could tick to swing-and-miss offering. 6-foot-3 frame has plenty of runway for continued jumps.
+ RHP Eli Wier, Carmel
An exceptional mover who posted week-after-week this spring against top opponents for Carmel's varsity squad. Shows three ideal shapes, two swing-and-miss secondaries, with clear potential for a fastball that we've seen up to 83 mph to continue to take strides from a velocity perspective.
+ 3B Jason DeCeault, Crown Point
A winner from the summer circuit. Strong 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed bat who has clear hit/power potential. Looks to trend as a college-level middle of the order bat.
+ RHP Cy Street, North Central
Impressed throughout the fall circuit with a fast arm and swing-and-miss breaking ball; up to 88 in September with advanced spin metrics on the slider.
+ RHP Joshua Strasburg, Boone Grove
Imposing 6-foot-2 frame and our staff saw him up to 88 in September. Appears to be a power-oriented arm that could continue to enhance his stock.
+ 1B Cam Stratman, Evansville Mater Dei
R/R bat who did nothing but collect hit-after-hit on the fall circuit and made a ton of hard contact at that.
+ 1B/RHP Dylan Blake, Carmel
A 6-foot-4, 185-pound left-handed hitter with an intriguing mix of power potential and hit-ability shown throughout our follows.
