Yesterday we highlighted the top available right-handed pitchers in Indiana's 2021 class; all of whom attended the annual Preseason All-State Invite Only event back in February. Today we look at uncommitted catchers that stood out this Preseason. 

Ty Mathews, C, Brownsburg HS, 2021
Positional_Profile: C/RHP
Body: 6-foot-1, 187-pound strong frame
Hit: RHH. Athletic, crouch setup. Short stride, smooth load with raise in hands. Strong lower half. Longer, level path, gets to extension. Quick bat speed. Shows power potential to his pull side. Led the event in bat speed (79.6 mph) according Blast. 
Power: 91 mph exit velocity (tee), pull-side pop
Defense: Taller setup. Showcased flexibility behind the dish. Firm hands receiving with quick footwork. Ability to block balls in the dirt well. Works in line on his throws to 2B, produced pop times of 1.99-2.01 
Arm: 79 mph from the crouch, short, high 3/4 arm action. Consistently around the bag.
