#7 Zionsville 20 Western Boone 2

#9 Jeffersonville 4 Louisville Butler 0 – Jeffersonville used three different pitchers in the game allowing just one hit. Nick Gallagher threw 3 2/3 with five strikeouts, Mark Meyer threw 2 1/3 with two strikeouts, and Trent Astle threw an inning with two strike outs. Isaac Crafton had two hits including a homerun and Drew Ellis also had a homerun.

#19 Crawfordsville 17 Greencastle 1 – Defending State Champs Crawfordsville’s offense picked up where it left off last year. Jake Zurawski led the way with four hits and four RBI. Caleb Rasmussen and Craig Brainard both had three hits; Rasmussen scored four times and stole four bases. Jordan Jackson picked up two hits and three RBI.

Greenfield-Central 3 #20 Lawrence North 1 – Brendon Neal picked up the win allowing one run on three hits and striking out four in four innings of work. Clark Pence led the way offensively for GC going 2-3 with a double and two RBI. Max Gray went four innings for LN allowing just two hits and one earned run. Nolan Watson went 2-3 with a RBI for LN.

Noblesville 9 Pike 0 – Ben Yoder picked up the win throwing six innings allowing just five hits and striking out 11. Garrett Welch had three RBI and a run scored. Luke Porter and Garrett Christman both drove in two runs.

Goshen 1 Mishawaka 0 – Both teams received great pitching performances on Monday. Jorge Pizana went all seven innings allowing just three hits and picking up the win for Goshen. Trey Bickel threw six innings allowing just one hit. Goshen scored their lone run on a double steal that scored Hunter Rivera.

Northwood 14 Westview 7 – Ervin picked up the win four Northwood. Northwood’s offense was strong in its opening game picked up 14 runs on 11 hits. Northwood broke the game open with an eight run fourth inning. Damon Miller picked up two hits, including a homerun, for Westview.

Center Grove 1 Franklin Central 0 F/8 – Vince Williams went 6 1/3 innings allowing just three hits and striking 13 for CG. Josh Piper drove in the game winning run in the top of the eighth inning.  Brock Koehler had two hits including a double.

Speedway 13 Monrovia 8 – Speedway put up five runs in the top of the 7th to get the win. Austin Gosnell, Matt Turk, and Andrew Brown all had two hits for Speedway.  Gosnell, Nicholas McCormick, and Chris Cronkhite all drove in two runs.

Plainfield 8 Tri-West 6 F/8 – Gunnar Wells threw the last two innings to pick up the win, he also had two hits and a RBI. Hunter Smith and Justin Tharp both scored twice and drove in a run for Plainfield. Austin Lynn had three hits and Levi Braumer drove in three runs for Tri-West.

Lafayette Central Catholic 11 North Montgomery 1 – LCC opened another season as defending State Champions and showed they could be just as good this year. Austin Munn and Hayes Cronk each had two hits and two RBI for LCC. Nick Stone also had two hits for LCC.

Hobart 1 Merrillville 0 - Sophomore Brandon Murray picked up the win going all seven innings while striking out ten and allowing just one hit. Chris Moore hit a Sac Fly in the fifth to drive in a Anthony Burgos for the lone run.
