Now, let’s answer a question…
Who are some of the potential draft picks for 2015-2016 classes out of Indiana?
This year and next are shaping up to be very good for the state of Indiana. Known for producing pitchers, the Hoosier State has five arms with draft interest as we head into the spring. RHP Ashe Russell (Cathedral HS, IN) is a potential first-round pick with his fastball that can touch the mid 90s and nasty slider. RHP Bryan Hoeing (Batesville HS, IN) has shown a high ceiling too, but a torn ACL will have him sidelined for much of the spring. It remains to be seen how much he’ll be able to pitch for scouts in advance of the draft. RHP Noah Burkholder (Crown Point HS, IN) missed a lot of time between the spring and summer, but once he got a nagging injury figured out, he started to take a step forward. He has a chance to really come on strong this season.
