Coach Jeff LeBeau and his Tri-County Cavaliers look to build off a strong performance in 2012 with a 13-15 overall record. The Cavaliers finished four games over .500 in the Midwest Athletic Conference with a 9-5 record. Expectations are high for the upcoming season as Coach LeBeau returns all nine starters from the 2012 team, including five pitchers.

Leading the way is senior INF/P Riley Benner. Benner, a St. Joseph College signee, led the Cavaliers at the plate with a .489 average and 24 RBI’s. On the mound the right-handed Benner was 4-5 with a 2.66 ERA. Fellow senior INF/P Lucas Vosburgh was a top contributor at the plate and on the mound. Vosburgh hit .369 and drove in 21 runs while also winning five games and posting a 3.02 ERA on the mound.

Other top returning starters expected to contribute in 2013 are second baseman Zack Patton (2014), outfielder Brenden Kidd (2015), and catcher Shae Lear (2014). The race for the Midwest Athletic Conference title will be exciting as Tri-County battles with defending champ Frontier and contenders North White and Caston.
