Ashe Russell
Cathedral's Ashe Russell was the most viewed player in Indiana for 2014.  The 6-foot-4, 195 pound right-handed pitcher had a stellar 2014 season and was named to the Under Armour All-American team.  The Texas A&M commit increased his draft stock substantially throughout the year with a fastball consistently sitting in the low 90's and touching the 95-96 mark.  Russell is ranked as the No. 1 player in Indiana's 2015 rankings and No. 2 in PBR's overall 2015 rankings.

SCOUTING REPORT

Russell has an ideal frame at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds with lean limbs.  Has an up tempo delivery with some effort and overall electric stuff.  Fastball generally sits in the 91-93 range, touching the 94-95 mark. Fastball was up to 96 this summer.  Possesses a nasty slider to go along with the fastball.  Slider sits in low 80's with sharp break and some depth.  Ability to throw both pitches for a strike in any count.  Russell, committed to Texas A&M, is a potential high round pick in next June's MLB first year player draft.
