Unsigned Senior Spotlight: LHP/OF Riley Futterknecht, Elkhart Central

Futterknecht is a 5-foot-11, 160 pound unsigned senior out of perennial baseball power Elkhart Central HS. At a previous PBR Indiana showcase he showcased a solid arm from the outfield at 82 mph, displaying a long and loose arm action.  On the mound he throws from a high ¾ arm slot.  His fastball is 79-82, touching 84 mph and is consistently in the zone.  He throws a 70-72 mph breaking ball and a 68-69 mph change-up consistently for strikes.  At the plate he has the tendency to coil, but shows good balance with quick bat speed producing some pop.

Last season for the Blue Blazers, Futterknecht hit.333 with 28 RBI, and 23 R. On the mound he was 8-2 with a 1.85 ERA and 77 K's.
