Tidewater Phillies
Dominic Angrisani RHP / SS / Greenbrier Christian School, VA / 2023This is one of the better, if not the best outing, that I have seen from Angrisani. Even though it was short relief work it was something that we believed was there and we were just waiting for that jump. Came out and attacked right away with a 84-86 mph fastball, touching 86.7 once. The uncommitted right hander had life on the fastball at the bottom. In his first inning he flashed one very average 69 mph breaking ball, but it tightened up and was much better in his second inning at 70-72. Reeled off a few solid changeups at 80-81 mph. Good armspeed and was more straight change action to it.

Toby Hueber 2B / RHP / Archbishop Moeller , OH / 2023
|
Chase Krewson CF / LHP / South Fayette, PA / 20236-foot-1, 200-pound athletic frame with lean strength. Left/left outfielder with a strong set of tools that are apparent in actions. At the plate it is a balanced, square setup. Hands are set back and are stagnant on load. It is a one piece swing, with the elbow slotting and getting the barrel turned on a level path. Hits against a firm front side and head is quiet. Advanced hand speed and above average bat speed allow Krewson to produce power to the pull side, which was on display in his second at bat.
|
Tyler Pitzer RHP / OF / South Fayette, PA / 2023Pitzer had an up and down start, struggling with fastball command early, but stayed the course and got better as he got deeper into the outing. The fastball was pretty easy out of the hand, sitting 88-91, and touching 92 twice. The South Carolina commit showed two breaking balls. The curveball was 73-75 and backed up out of the hand. The slider has finishing qualities, getting some swings and misses down in the zone, especially with two strikes. Showed quick feet and solid athleticism on the mound. With the way the arm works, there is definitely some intrigue as we head into the initial stages of the 2023 draft class.

Team Max Bat
Jacob Bunch C / Grassfield, VA / 2023Really strong physical frame. Mature approach with carry to all fields. Attacks in the zone and seeks contact out front. The arm has carry behind the plate. He is a good athlete for his size, but the 6-5 frame may force him to move to corner infield, more specifically first base.
|
Ryan Hoeft 3B / 1B / Grassfield, VA / 2024Hoeft is one of the better athletes on Team Max Bat. Proportional strength to the frame. Aggressive approach with some loft built in. Feet were active and work in the infield.

Canes American
Ryan DeMartin RHP / OF / Riverside , VA / 2023DeMartin worked deep into this one, showing some toughness working out of some jams with mostly all fastballs. Was 83-86 from the full and dipped just a bit in the stretch to more in the 82-84 range. The Georgetown commit could grab an extra two or so mph when in the stretch if he wanted to try to finish a count. Did not go to the 69-71 breaking ball much, as the arm drug just a bit on the pitch and it backed up on him. However, in this outing he overpowered some hitters with just the fastball.
|
Jack Gibson LHP / First Flight , NC / 2023It was a short relief outing for the new face to the newly added Pro 5 VA left hander. Gibson, a UNC-Wilmington commit, featured mostly fastballs working with some crossfire to the delivery. Low three-quarter slot and tends to work on the outside of the fastball, causing some tough at bats for right handed hitters when he gets it in under the hands. Did not show many secondary pitches during the short outing.
