Here are a brief recaps with highlights from the games:
14U Green
Semifinals
Mid-Atlantic 4, Florida 1
Lee Sowers (Douglas Freeman, VA) started the game on the mound for Mid-Atlantic and went the first 3 innings, allowing no runs and just one hit.
In the bottom of the first, Green jumped out right away when Aden Judge (Nansemond River, VA) led the game off with a triple and Eli Ranson (Douglas Freeman, VA) drove him in with an RBI single.

The game stayed 1-0 until the fourth, when Luke Childress (Tazewell) reached on a bunt single and Bransen Hensley (Broadway) also singled to put two on for Judge, who doubled down the line to extend the lead. Later in the inning, Sowers would single to right to drive in another run and opening up a 4-0 lead.

Ethan Flaugher (North East) relieved Sowers in the fourth and was effective into the sixth inning, when Ranson came in for him with the tying run at the plate and was able to escape the jam. Ranson worked a perfect seventh to close the game out and send Green to the Championship game.
Championship Game
Mississippi 9, Green 3
Mississippi got on the board first, taking advantage of an error in the first inning to jump out to a 1-0 lead. Green was slow getting its bats going and Mississippi compounded that by stretching the lead to 4-0 with a three-run third inning.
Green threatened to cut into the deficit in the fourth, when Colin Bunch (King George, VA) and Fredy Diaz, Jr. (Middletown, MD) put together a pair of one-out singles to put runners on the corners. The rally came to an end when Bunch was thrown out at home trying to score on a sacrifice fly for an inning-ending double play.
Mid-Atlantic again threatened in the fifth, loading the bases with two outs courtesy of three walks, but a sharp groundout right at the first basemen ended the threat. Mississippi put the game out of reach with five runs in the top of the sixth to open the lead to 9-0. Green kept fighting and did rally for three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
14U Blue
Semifinals
Mississippi 7, Blue 3
Team Mid-Atlantic 14u Blue struggled to get the bats going early Saturday morning in the PBR Junior Future Games Gold Bracket Semifinal falling to Team Mississippi 7-3. Lefty Zachary Davis (Menchville) started on the bump and went three strong innings before running into some hot bats in the Team Mississippi lineup in the fourth. After falling behind 1-0 in the second, Team Mid-Atlantic Blue plated three runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead. Carson Seely (New Kent) led off the inning with a base hit back up the middle and later scored on a fielder's choice throwing error by the shortstop that allowed Ashton Hylton (Franklin County) to reach safely. Team Mid-Atlantic Blue would load the bases on two walks and score two more runs in the inning on a mis-played ball at shortstop. Two home runs in the bottom half of the fourth sparked Team Mississippi to regain the lead and eventually hold on for the win.
13U
Silver Championship
Indiana 12, Mid-Atlantic 9
Following a five run outburst by Team Indiana in the second inning of the PBR Junior Future Games Silver Bracket Championship game, Team Mid Atlantic responded with three runs of their own in the bottom half. Kaden Barmer (Edgewood) provided the thump driving one deep to centerfield for a 2-RBI double scoring both Parker Friend and Braeden Loving. Barmer would later score in the inning making it 5-3 Team Indiana.
After another big inning by Team Indiana in the top of the fourth, Barmer was back at it again doubling this time to the right centerfield gap for another RBI double to make it 9-4.
Team Mid-Atlantic would chip away again in the 5th as a bases loaded walk to Owen Brundage (Heritage) scored Ren Devereux (Avalon) and a big two out single back up the middle by Gage Strucko (Briar Woods) brought two more runs across to make it 12-7.
Following a quick scoreless 6th inning pitched by Loving, Aidan West (Long Reach) led off the bottom half with a big fly to right field to make the score 12-8.

Barmer continued his red hot day at the plate later in the inning with his third extra base hit of the day. This one an RBI triple to right centerfield gap scoring Friend to make it 12-9.
That's how it would finish though as the time limit ended the game with six innings in the book. Team Mid-Atlantic finishes as the runners-up in the PBR Junior Future Games 13U Silver Division.
