VA/MD State Games

5-foot-10, 170-pound athletic projectable build. Athletic projectable during batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. (60.2 mph bat speed average). (18.9 mph hand speed average). Began in a tall stance with a controlled active load, then used a controlled small leg kick. Has developing raw bat speed, short simple swing plane and level good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Aggressive approach. Athletic in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 86 mph; had a quick clean exchange, consistent soft hands, and athletic footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a high ¾ slot and a compact quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.93. Confident on the mound, showed a long loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher who shows some effort. Has a low balance point with downhill shoulders. Shows an athletic balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 82-84 mph with a max of 85 mph; showed control feel around the zone and some action. (Max spin 1986; Avg 1829). He showed down in the zone control and tight late action on his 11/5 slider (76-77). (Max spin 2142; Avg 2075).

Judge is an athletic twitchy freshman that has fit right in at the varsity level. Playing second base for the Warriors and is an adequate defender, but long term will be best suited in the outfield. Above average runner whose speed shows up best in game. Has made nice strides in the plate discipline department, as he has struck out only once in eight of his at bats and walked three times along the way, five of which at bats have come versus Division I arms. Had a double to left center on an elevated fastball in his final at bat tonight. 

PreSeason All-State East

Judge is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, very short free quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands slightly closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 82-86, with some downward plane and late hard armside run. Slider was 78-79 with good armspeed and late hard 10/4 break to it. Change-up was 77-79 with good armspeed and a bit of late fade to it.

PBR Mid-Atlantic Summer Championships 

Exciting quick twitch athlete in the 2024 class out of the Tidewater area. Hits from an athletic set up at the plate, short quick load with leg lift to hitting position. Hands are direct to the ball, looking to lift with uphill finish. Advanced strength in swing for his young age.Shows quick first step with speed on the bases and in the outfield. Covers ground well in center field. Exciting young prospect that will be a name to keep an eye on early and is an exciting prospect.

Richmond Braves Workout

Athletic outfielder with range and above average arm strength. Has the athleticism to play all three outfield positions as well as contribute in the infield at this time. At the plate it is a level path swing that is short in and out of the zone. Line drive approach that has some pull side tendency. Displays ability to hit for high average with some doubles power in the swing. Will be an interesting athlete to watch develop.
