With the summer season coming to an end and school coming up in the not-to-distant future, PBR Maryland has updated the overall rankings for the 2016 class. The update goes to the Top 100 players in the state after a busy summer.

Not much has changed with the top five players in Maryland, as Matt Mervis stays atop the rankings. The power hitting corner infielder/pitcher represented Maryland in multiple national events over the summer including the Tournament of Stars.

Maryland 2016 class was well represented in the PBR Overall Rankings with the top eight players in the state rankings all making the list.

A strong summer saw RHP Brandon Martin move up the charts to the No. 9 position. Martin impressed during his outing at the Big 26 and could continue to move up the ranks.

One of the high risers in the rankings was OF DaVonn Griffin at Hammond HS. A strong summer saw Griffin rise to No. 13 in the rankings showcasing top end speed and could be considered one of the fastest in the state. Griffin recently committed to James Madison.

Jordan Hutchins (No. 11) was another riser in the rankings after two outings at the Top Prospect Games in June and the PBR Border Battle in July. Hutchins is newly committed to the University of Delaware.
