Area Players Show Well At Under Armour All-America Game

CHICAGO – Under the lights at Wrigley Field, 40 of the top high school players in the country competed in the Under Armour All-America Game on Saturday night. The American team, which featured many of the top-ranked players in the Prep Baseball Report’s coverage area, rallied in the eighth inning to pull out a 2-1 victory.

In fact, the American team featured the top three-ranked 2015 prospects in our coverage area with right-handers Mike Nikorak (Stroudsburg HS, PA), Ashe Russell (Cathedral HS, IN) and Bryan Hoeing (Batesville HS). All three pitchers worked quick and clean innings, with Nikorak and Russell setting the tone early in the first and second innings.

Here’s a look at how many of the players in the PBR coverage area fared against the nation’s top prospects:
