Brasosky Will Take His Game South To Tennessee
Gavin Brasosky LHP / OF / Portage Central, MI / 2021Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 2
PORTAGE - At the age of seven, Gavin Brasosky moved from down south to the state of Michigan. Upon graduation, the Portage Central incoming sophomore be heading back that direction after committing to play baseball at Tennessee.
“They saw me play a few weeks ago at a tournament at Duke and we started talking over the phone,” Brasosky said. “Then I played in Tennessee two weekends ago and they came to all the games. I went with my parents to see the campus and we walked around.” An offer and commitment followed. “Ever since I was little I’ve wanted to play college baseball,” the 11th-rated 2021 in the state said. “I used to live in North Carolina and lived close to the North Carolina field. I went to games then and I’ve loved it ever since.” While NC was always in the back of Brasosky’s mind, Tennessee is where he will go after a recruiting process that involved playing in Perfect Game tournaments, attending the PBR Future Game Trials last year and talking with Miami, Michigan and Illinois in addition to Tennessee. “I thought it would be cool to go back to North Carolina and play, but it’s just cool to be able to go down south and play somewhere,” Brasosky noted. “It’s going to be nice.” |
