Game 1
Bedford defeated Ann Arbor Pioneer 1-0 in a tight pitching duel between seniors Matt Clendenin (Pioneer, LHP, 2013) and Jackson Lamb (Bedford, RHP, 2013/Michigan).

Bedford freshman Kegan O'Brian (3B, 2016) hit a two-out double in the fourth inning to score Jon Shepherd (LF, 2013) from second for the only run.

Pioneer's Clendenin finished with one run, five hits and one strikeout in six innings while Lamb gave up three hits, five walks and thirteen strikeouts as Pioneer threatened in the third, sixth and seventh innings.

Game 2
Bedford defeated Pioneer 8-3 as three Bedford pitchers - Josh Strickland (WP - RHP, 2013), Logan Snyder (LHP, 2013) and Chad Bagrowski (RHP, 2013) - stranded twelve Pioneer base-runners. Pioneer starter Noah Morehouse (RHP, 2014) got the loss with Toben Burris (RHP, 2014) finishing.

Bedford took control with two unearned runs in the second inning and two more runs in the third on Dennis Guss' (2B, 2013) RBI triple, then scoring on a wild pitch.

Pioneer took an early lead with Tom Hadlock's (SS, 2013) two-run double in the first; Hadlock finshed with two hits.

Bedford used two big double plays to get out of jams - a centerfield-catcher double play (Jackson Lamb (CF, 2013/Michigan) - Josh Rozek (C, 2014)) in the fifth with the bases loaded and line-drive pitcher-thirdbase (Chad Bagrowski - Kegan O'Brien (3B, 2016)) with bases loaded in the sixth.
