Grand Ledge Knocks Off Unbeaten Okemos

Two of Lansing’s top teams squared off Monday: Okemos (7-0) hosted Grand Ledge (5-1). Grand Ledge got the better of Okemos in Game 1 11-0.

Grand Ledge got to Okemos starter  senior Keegan Scribner early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning.  Back to back doubles by Corbin Clouse and Nate Langenfeld highlighted the inning. Davenport commit, Corbin Clouse, took the mound for Grand Ledge; he showed a good fastball with a plus curveball. The only hit he gave up was in the fourth inning to Evan Long, who is committed to Heidelberg College.

Clouse would finish with 11 strikeouts on the night. The fourth inning is when Grand Ledge broke the game open with bases loaded double by Tyler Waldrop scoring three runs making the game 11-0.

In Game 2 it was all Grand Ledge again as they knocked off Okemos for a second time by a final of 13-0

Grand Ledge moves to 7-1 on the year while Okemos would falls  for the first time and their record slips to to 7-2.
