Inside the Recruitment: '18 RHP/1B Logan Morrow commits to Marshall

Logan MorrowLogan Morrow, RHP/1B, St Joseph, 2018

PBR: Why did you choose Marshall?
Logan: I really like their pitching coach Josh Newman.  Also the fact that they play down south in conference games. I like the size of the school.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Logan: Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, and Central Michigan

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
Logan: A scout from the Chicago Cubs saw me at Davenport University PBR. He told coach Newman about me. Coach Newman came and saw me pitch at the Future’s game in Indiana.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment?
Logan: Kalamazoo Maroons. Pitching at Central Michigan on their field.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
Logan: To be seen and do well at the PBR events so coaches would become interested. I was very happy to have numerous schools interested in me.

PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
Logan: 1-1 record on Varsity. 15 innings pitched on varsity. I am not sure of the detailed stats.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced?
Logan: Drew Blakeley from Gull Lake.
