Michigan Insider: Week 2 Player of the Week - Brett Manis

Name: Brett Manis
School: Port Huron Northern
Position: LHP/OF
Class: 2017

Week in Review: Brett Manis, a 2017 grad that is the 4th overall ranked LHP. This past Monday he had a performance that will not soon be forgotten. Manis threw a no-hitter, striking out 17, in route to a 5-0 victory over Yale.

No opponent made it past 1st base throughout the entire contest.

Manis said - “Because of the cold weather I just wanted to have a quality start. I was just focusing on making good pitches and the strikeouts came on their own. After about the second inning I fell into a rhythm and my team did a great job putting some runs up which gave us a chance to win”.
