PBR Spotlight Game: West Bloomfield vs Bloomfield Groves

Oakland Athletic Association division foes West Bloomfield and Birmingham Groves squared off today. These two teams are both competing for a division championship.

Although both teams have lots of talent featuring #14 prospect in the 2017 class Zavier Warren for Groves and #30 in the 2015 Class Michigan State commit Robbie Jones, this game was all about #6 in Michigan's 2015 class Chandler Sedat.

Sedat dominated the opposition throwing a complete game, surrendering three hits with 11 strike outs.

Groves opened the game with a lead off single by 2015 Malik Brown (Tiffin commit). On the following pitches Brown stole both 2nd and 3rd. The rally was ended as Sedat retired the next three hitters in order.

West Bloomfield scored 3 runs in the 1st inning. Jones hit a double to begin the game. 2016 Aakif Lodhi crushed a double to the centerfield gate scoring Jones. 2015 DeShawn Cole reached base on a dropped 3rd strike, 2015 Clayton Kowalewski scored Cole and Lodhi on his 2-run single.

Sedat struck out the side in top of the 2nd continuing to dominate the Groves hitters. West Bloomfield scored it's final run in the bottom of the 5th. Jones walked to start the inning followed by a steal of 2nd base. Sedat helped his own cause by driving Jones in on a single up the middle.

Groves did not go down without a fight scoring a run in the 7th but the dominance of Sedat.
