Cole Schaefer took the mound starting for Portage Central.  He  walked two, struck out two and only allowed one run on two hits in his three innings of work.  Ultimately it was Noah Spears who got the win for Portage Central going going three innings and only allowing a run.

Midland starter Matthew Somers competed for six innings in the  loss. Somers kept the Mustangs in check all day until a couple errors behind him to start the sixth lead to a three run inning for Portage Central.

Midland catcher Alex Goodwin had three quality at bats on the day recording two hits and a RBI off Schaefer. Goodwin also gunned down two Mustang base runners with an in-game pop time of 2.2 seconds.  Infielder Austin Comiskey also had a good day at the plate and barreled the ball all day for Midland.

Leading the way for Portage Central was senior Chase Richards who got the Mustangs on the board in the fourth when he singled over the head of Midland's shortstop and eventually coming around to score. Mickey Losey had the game-winnings RBI double for Portage in the sixth.
