Q&A with Unsigned Senior: Brad Vigna, OF, Jenison HS, 2013

PBR: Where are you currently in the recruiting process? 

Vigna: I’ve gotten a few offers but I’m still unsigned at this point.

PBR: What level of baseball do you see yourself playing at the next level?

Vigna: I'd like to play at the highest level possible, and Division I has always been a goal, but I’m mostly looking to find a competitive program that’s the best match for me.

PBR: What schools are you most interested in right now, and why?

Vigna: I’m looking for schools that can provide me with a good fit of both academics and athletics.

PBR: What aspect of your game do you believe needs the most improvement?

Vigna: My throwing velocity is an area I continue to work on.

PBR: Who is the best player you have played against in the state? 

Vigna: Justin Alleman.  He’s the best pitcher in Michigan I’ve played against.

PBR: As a player what is your greatest strength?

Vigna: My speed is certainly an asset as an outfielder and around the bases.  I think I also have a very good knowledge of the game, so my situational decisions are a strength.

PBR: How did your summer and fall seasons end?

Vigna: I learned a ton, had a great time, and played well against some very good competition.   I’ve also gotten a lot stronger this year, so I’ve turned into more of a gap to gap guy.  I feel I have a lot of momentum now as I continue to develop into the spring season.

PBR: What are your high school team goals for the 2013 season?

Vigna: We have a lot of players that are going to be a threat this year.  I think our team has a shot at a very difficult conference title.  Personally, I’m just looking to give my best each day and continue developing my skills.  I’d like to improve my slugging percentage and keep stealing bases.

PBR: What is your GPA? ACT or SAT score?

Vigna: I currently have a 3.4gpa and a 25 ACT.

PBR: Have you decided on a major or narrowed it down?

Vigna: I’ve always been interested in a business major, leaning toward Management or Entrepreneurship.
