X-FACTOR
The Redhawks return a majority of their team from last season. With the return of experience and being able to build on last year's success. They look to be very formidable this year.

NEWCOMER(S) TO WATCH
Not particularly newcomers; both played extensively last season; but two underclass players will provide a big punch for Minnehaha Academy this year. 2016 3B/RHP Alex Fedje-Johnson returns after hitting .465 last season with 21 RBI's and 9 2B's. Regarded as one of the rising 2016 prospects in the state because of his offensive abilities. He will also provide depth and be a contributor on the mound. 2016 All-Section pitcher Jesse Retzlaff also returns. The right-hander threw 36 innings last season with 42 K's, a 1.7 ERA, and has shown the ability to compete with good stuff and great location.

2015 OUTLOOK
The Redhawks exceeded expectations last season with a young team. Now the hunters become the hunted as they return 7 position players and 4 pitchers who played significantly last year on a squad that won 3 play-off games. 2015 Thomas Shogren will lead the staff on the mound; along with Retzlaff, senior Matt Ganter, Fedje-Johnson, and a host of others. 2014 Ford Schroeder, a All-Conference performer and Augustana commit, will anchor the line-up along with Fedje-Johnson, with seniors Peter Webster and Nick Terlizzi, and junior Andrew Wolpert adding power and speed to the top of the order. Minnehaha Academy's expectations are high as they enter the newly created IMAC Conference this spring.
