"Strong leadership returns for 2016 with captains Tyler Eckberg (Kansas State commit) and Ben Vanhove. The Hornets have an experienced core of returning pitchers including Eckberg, 4 year starter Matthew Grove, juniors Jimmy Connell and Will Gudorf and senior Kevin Cash. Brock Boltmann and Jack Haben return to fortify catching and infield duties respectively. Seniors JR Brauer and Cal Bovy were playoff roster adds and are hungry to compete for outfield spots. A strong class of underclassmen will challenge all for roster spots and the Hornets look to compete again for a Lake Conference championship and beyond in 2016." Head Coach Carter Freeman
