WEEK ONE

ON THE BUBBLE

EASTVIEW LIGHTNING
Two wins against ranked teams (Chanhassen, Rosemount) to start the year.

ROCHESTER MAYO SPARTANS
Mayo has been rolling this week with wins against Winona and Edina.

WOODBURY ROYALS
Two wins including against Park of Cottage Grove and a ranked Stillwater team.

ROGERS ROYALS
A 10-9 loss against Elk River marks the only activity for the Royals this week.

MAHTOMEDI ZEPHYRS
Like many teams, the 3-and-0 Zephyrs did not play this week.

10 // MINNETONKA SKIPPERS (NR) ?

The Skippers have surged into the rankings with early season victories.

9 // WAYZATA TROJANS (9) ?

No games for the Trojans. Among others, Wayzata will play Chanhassen (no. 6) at home on Tuesday. 

8 // ROSEMOUNT IRISH (10) ?

Rosemount took down Burnsville 5-2. The Irish are scheduled to play Farmington (no. 4) on Wednesday of this week. 

7 // ANDOVER HUSKIES (5) ?

Tough loss to Totino Grace 6-5. The Huskies will face two bubble teams in Rogers and Rochester Mayo this week. 

6 // CHANHASSEN STORM (6) ?

Chanhassen did not play last week. The Storm will face Champlin Park, Wayzata (no. 9), and rival Chaska in the next five days.

5 // PRIOR LAKE LAKERS (8) ?

Prior Lake handled Lakeville South in their only contest of the week. In the 10-3 win over the Cougars, junior Hudson Johnson (uncommitted) struck out 12. The Lakers will be seeing Eastview and Shakopee this week.

4 // FARMINGTON TIGERS (7) ?

The Tigers had a hard-fought 2-0 victory over a tough Shakopee Sabers team. Senior Sawyer Hoffman (Winona State commit) went the distance in a 2-hit, complete game shutout

3 // MOUNDS VIEW MUSTANGS (2) ?

Challenging week for the Mustangs who lost games to East Ridge and Roseville. Mounds View will see no. 1 ranked Cretin-Derham Hall at Target Field on Saturday. 

2 // EAST RIDGE RAPTORS (3) ?

East Ridge finished the week 2-1 including a 7-3 win over rival Mounds View. They will face Woodbury and Stillwater this week.

1 // CRETIN-DERHAM HALL RAIDERS (1) ?

Lone victory against Forest Lake for the Raiders this week. Cretin has received national attention, making Prep Baseball Report’s number 22 team in the Midwest rankings. They will play no. 3 ranked Mounds View on Saturday at Target Field.
