PBR: Why did you choose Wayne State College?
PLOOF: I chose Wayne State because of the connection with players on my visit, the campus with my degree, small class sizes, and the location allowing me to continue hunting and fishing.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
PLOOF: St. Scholastica and UW-Lacrosse.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
PLOOF: PBR Top Prospect Games. They contacted me via twitter and text and we began building a relationship.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
PLOOF: Yes very much so.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
PLOOF: I felt comfortable with the location, small town atmosphere, and the players were very welcoming.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
PLOOF: My parents, Adam Barta and Joe Boyce.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
PLOOF: I thought it was easy but very stressful at times.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
PLOOF: A good bat in the lineup and compete for playing time at third base. I will also continue to work on pitching.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
PLOOF: 2016 Perfect Game WWBA Atlanta winning against a tough Texas team and recording the last out to win. Tennessee tournament, getting to play at Vanderbilt. Both were great experiences.

PLOOF: Sam Carlson.
