December 16, 2019
PBR Minnesota strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
Sagedahl: I chose SDSU because the campus is gorgeous. They have everything you would want for a college. Their sporting facilities are top notch, and the players and coaches are about as good as it gets.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Sagedahl: Mankato State, Augustana, St. Cloud State, and SMSU.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
Sagedahl: They first saw me at the state tournament in Jordan, MN. They called me quite often and they were great to talk to. Then when I got to campus, I was in awe of how they presented themselves to me and my family.
PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
Sagedahl: I feel very relieved when it was all said and done.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
Sagedahl: Yes, the coaching staff as a whole was what made it clear.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
Sagedahl: I’d say my parents and my head baseball coach. They have set me on the right path since I was very young, and I can’t thank them enough.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
Sagedahl: It was interesting to see how each coach tried to sell themselves and their program in order to try to get you to go there. It was kind of in the middle of easy and difficult. Easy with how they came to you, but difficult with contacting the coaches back and seeing what they have to say.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
Sagedahl: They plan for me to come in as a catcher, but they also said that I could change at any time due to me being versatile.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
Sagedahl: Definitely winning the State Championship then dogpiling at Target Field.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
Sagedahl: Decker Scheffler, he is going to play baseball at Ball State, and we have been competing against each other since we were little, and I thrive to be better than him causing me to work harder every day.
