The Prep Baseball Report MN Preseason All-State event took place on Sunday, March 19, 2017. The event was held at the Vadnais Sports Center in Vadnais Heights, MN. The event featured prospects from the 2018 grad class; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff and college coaches in attendance. 

 Today we take a look at the pitchers that were in attendance at this year's event.

Charles Apple, LHP, Orono, 2018
5-foot-10, 160-pound left-handed pitcher. Simple turn into balance point, stays back over rubber well, occasionally loses posture working down mound, and lands open to plate. Long one-piece arm action producing 74-75 mph fastballs with flat action for strikes. Breaking ball has big shape, loose spin, with early break to plate. Flat action on changeup for strikes.

Nathan Berg, SS/RHP, New Prague, 2018
6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #14 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 7.35 runner. Athletic set-up, body load, rhythm in hands, uses lower half in swing, flashes pop in bat, ability to use whole field, 87 mph exit velocity. Easy actions in field, has footwork with clean exchanges, creates direction and works through ball, soft hands, accurate arm with carry to bag, 85 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; has tempo and rhythm in delivery, easy actions, clean arm action, ball tends to jump on hitter. Fastball was 84-85 mph with running action delivered on slight downhill plane. Slider is best secondary pitch late above avg. velo and late sweeping action for strikes. Solid action on changeup with run; thrown at fastball arm speed.

Jack Berset, RHP, Minnetonka, 2018
6-foot-6, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. #53 ranked player in MN 2018 rankings. Tall projectable build, lanky, with long legs. Controlled tempo, upper and lower half are slightly out of sync, long arm action, comes out well in front from pie arm action. Shows arm-side life on fastball at 83-84 mph with ability to throw strikes. Solid depth and shape on 11/5 breaking ball. Flat running action on changeup with avg. fade. Should continue to gain velocity as he continues to mature and add strength.

Nathan Brandecker, RHP/3B, 2018
6-foot-4, 208-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #62 ranked player in MN 2018 class. Shows tempo and controlled rhythm in delivery, opens lower half early to plate, shows easy effort from long arm action to plate. Fastball was 79-81 mph with flashes of ASR to plate. Slider action on breaking ball with solid shape and avg. depth. Shows feel for changeup; consistently working arm-side of plate for strikes. 7.34 runner. Tall stance, short stride, slight rhythm in hand load, aggressive lower half in swing, flashes of pop to pull-side of field, 83 mph exit velocity. Usable hands in field with appropriate footwork, avg. range, flashes soft glove on back-hand, solid accuracy to bag, 78 mph arm strength.

Zach Breeden, OF/RHP, Lakeville North, 2018
6-foot-4, 195-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #23 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 6.95 runner. Body load with front heel turn trigger, flat bat path through zone, shows early rhythm in hands, aggressive lower half, shows pop in bat with pull approach, 89 mph exit velocity. Above avg. athlete in OF, developing footwork, uses momentum on throws, short arm action with low elbow slot, solid accuracy to target, 83 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; stretch only, uncontrolled front leg in balance point, compact arm action, with rawness to delivery. Fastball was 77-79 mph cut action to plate. Sweeping breaking ball to plate with flashes of sharp break. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed; lacks command of zone currently.

Tyler Brown, 1B/RHP, Buffalo, 2018
6-foot-3, 220-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.75 runner. Solid set-up in box, body load, shows rhythm in hands, good hand-eye coordination, consistent solid contact, flashes of pop in bat, 85 mph exit velocity. Accurate arm, usable glove, works comfortably around bag, solid receiver, 76 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; high leg kick, leans back at balance point, some wiggle on backside of arm action, with short square stride down mound. Fastball was 77-78 mph, touching 80 mph, elevated to plate with varying action. Wraps breaking ball early with solid 11/5 shape and ability to land consistently for strikes. Solid fade on changeup with flat action.

Chris Chiriboga, RHP, Hopkins, 2018
6-foot-3, 150-pound right-handed pitcher. Tall skinny build, young in face, and projects to mature and continue to add quality strength. Uptempo delivery, heavy crouch at balance point, lands across body in delivery. Long arm action on backside- becomes compact as it works through- with extension out front. Fastball was 80-82 mph with late cutting action at plate. Shows solid shape and spin on breaking ball for strikes. Above avg. fade on changeup, thrown at fastball arm speed, with feel for zone.

Delaney Dahl, LHP/OF, Wayzata, 2018
5-foot-8, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Quicker delivery on mound, slight collapse at balance point, short arm action from H ¾ slot. Deceptive fastball was 79-80 mph, hides ball and jumps on hitter, with straight action to plate. Curveball has 12/6 shape with late break; thrown at fastball arm speed. Aggressive with changeup, firm velocity, with developing feel for strike zone. 7.2 runner. Open stance, strides to square, body load with active hands early, uphill path, avg. weight shift through contact, fly ball contact to middle/oppo field, 81 mph exit velocity. Solid fielder, good footwork, works through ball, short arm action, accurate to target with sink, 80 mph arm strength from outfield.

Antonio de Lugo, RHP/OF, Apple Valley, 2018
5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Controlled rocker step into athletic balance point, good line to plate, with long clean arm action with extension to plate. Fastball was 78-80 mph with flashes of sink when thrown down in zone. 11/5 breaking ball shows potential, thrown at fastball arm speed, but needs to improve consistency in zone. Occasional running action on changeup for strikes. 7.4 runner. Open stance, rolling hand load, leg kick trigger, uphill path through contact with quick hands, aggressive swinger, pull approach, 82 mph exit velocity. Active in field, aggressive through ball, confident fielder, quicker release, above avg. carry and accuracy, quick compact arm action, 85 mph arm strength from outfield.

Collin Denk, RHP/OF, Lakeville North, 2018
6-foot-3, 166-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. #31 ranked player in MN 2018 class. Quick turn to tall balance point, athletic, lands slightly closed with arm swing across body. Fastball was 83-85 mph with late ASR and consistently worked bottom of zone. Breaking ball is thrown at fastball arm speed, has solid shape, and depth should continue to improve. Has above avg. feel for changeup; thrown at fastball arm speed with fade and sink. 7.32 runner. Tall athletic stance, slight rhythm in hands, works gap to gap well, line drive swing plane, solid contact, 84 mph exit velocity. Short arm action, good accuracy to target, opens front side early to throw, solid athlete, appropriate footwork working through baseball, 84 mph arm strength from outfield.

5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #75 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 6.97 runner. Pre-set hands, body load, short compact swing, solid bat speed, avg. extension, drove balls hard to oppo side of field, 83 mph exit velocity. Works hard through ball after fielding, has direction to target, solid arm strength, accurate to bag, 85 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; stretch only, loads over rubber, OT slot, catapult arm action, lands on stiff front leg working up and over. Cut action on fastball at 77-79 mph. Chester Dixon, SS/OF/RHP, Edina, 2018
5-foot-9, 160-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #44 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 7.34 runner. Crouched stance, heavy body load, changes eye levels effecting contact, aggressive approach and swing, works middle of field, 77 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete in field, short arm action, accurate to target, above avg. momentum working through and following throws, 85 mph arm strength from outfield. Solid footwork and actions at shortstop, college second baseman, hands are occasionally stiff, accurate to bag with carry, 81 mph arm across infield. On mound; controlled tempo into back turn delivery, lands across body, with short arm action from H ¾ slot. Fastball was 77-80 mph with flat action and occasional slight ASR at plate. Early break on slider shaped curveball for strikes. Developing feel for changeup with cut action thrown with stiff wrist.

William Eckland, RHP, Edina, 2018
6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed pitcher. #17 ranked player in MN 2018 class. Starting to physically mature and add weight and strength. Slight tuck and turn at balance point, occasional pause at top, easy actions on mound, arm is loose and has extension to plate. Fastball flashes life and was 85-88 mph with late run and sink. Curveball has 11-5 shape with early rolling break to plate for strikes. Avg. action on changeup that should continue to improve; thrown with fastball arm speed.

Addison Elcombe, OF/RHP, Bloomington Jefferson, 2018
6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.08 runner. Square stance, easy rhythm with hands, works gap to gap, stiff lower half in swing, minimal extension, flat path through zone, 89 mph exit velocity. Solid athleticism, moves through ball, has momentum on throws, clean compact arm action, throws have carry and accuracy to target, 88 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; controlled tempo on mound, short stride with upright finish, short arm action from ¾ slot. Fastball was 79-80 mph with flashes of life and cut action. Works breaking ball well in bottom of zone. Developing changeup, rolls hand over hard, with avg. feel.

Justin Firpo, 3B/OF/RHP, Apple Valley
6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #12 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 6.84 runner. Square stance, hand and body load, stiff lower half in swing, creates bat speed, flat path to contact, aggressive swinger, 89 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete in field, plays through ball, above avg. carry and accuracy to bag, proto rightfielder, 88 mph arm strength from outfield and 86 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; gains momentum throughout delivery, shows body control, swings front leg down mound and lands open to plate. Pie arm action producing 84-85 mph fastballs with late run and sink action. Above avg. slider with 10/4 shape, tight spin, and thrown with velocity. Flashes late sink on changeup, firm presently, but should continue to develop feel for pitch.

Kaden Gage, SS/RHP, Eagan, 2018
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.7 runner. Tall stance, works middle of field, heavy collapse with lower half through contact, lift in swing plane, flashed line drive contact, 77 mph exit velocity. Choppy rhythm in field, hands are slightly stiff and fields deep, long release on throws, 74 mph arm strength. On the mound; rocker step into balance point, uncontrolled front leg with collapse in lower half, ¾ arm slot with short draw on backside. Fastball was 79-80 mph, touching 83 mph, with late cut action. Breaking ball shows loose spin and tends to back up to plate. Cut action on changeup with similar spin and action as fastball.

RJ Galvez, SS/RHP, Cretin-Derham Hall, 2018
6-foot-2, 195-pound switch-hitting shortstop. 7.53 runner. Similar hitting mechanics from both sides of plate, works middle of field, active loads, aggressive approach, line drive swing plane, 83 mph exit velocity. Defensively shows solid footwork and usable glove, stops to field occasionally, OT arm slot, solid carry on throws, accurate to bag, projects to move to corner position.

Jacob Grimm, SS/RHP, Lakeville North, 2018
6-foot, 155-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #78 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 7.83 runner. Open stance, rolling shoulder load, square stride, flat bat plane through zone, contact to all fields with mid/away approach, 83 mph exit velocity. Quick arm action, avg./solid actions, easy glove with good hands, avg. range and speed, accurate to bag with 80 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; short balance point, lands with straight legs, short arm action with upright finish. Fastball was 78-80 mph, flashes of life, consistently to arm-side of plate for strikes. 11/5 curveball has solid shape with early break. Late cutting action on changeup for strikes.

Brandon Hartung, RHP, St. Cloud Cathedral, 2018
5-foot-10, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Short stocky build. Compact delivery, shows body control, high front side hiding baseball, and lands on-line with catcher. Short arm action producing 78-80 mph fastballs on a down-hill plane. Cranks curveball early; producing tight 12/6 rotation and lands for strikes. Changeup is above avg., delivered from OT slot, with late fading action at bottom of zone.

Nate Hogan, 3B/RHP, Maple Lake, 2018
6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.75 runner. Good setup in box, double tap trigger, clean path through contact, line drive swing plane with lift, shows good hands to baseball, mid/pull approach, 81 mph exit velocity. Works around and through baseball, fields deep occasionally, higher fielding position, makes routine plays, 78 mph arm strength. On mound; slight crouch at balance point, hand underneath baseball at release, with upright finish to plate. Fastball was 78-79 mph with flat action to plate. Developing feel for zone with breaking ball that shows potential with late break and solid shape. Splitter has solid shape with late drop for strikes.

Richie Holetz, RHP, Edina, 2018
6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed pitcher. High leg kick delivery with slight tuck and turn, compact arm action with slight stab down on back-side, arm is quicker and clean out front. Fastball was straight at 82-83 mph; throwing strikes in upper half of zone. Curveball and slider are similar pitches with varying velo; both showing sweeping break to plate. Changeup is thrown with good arm action with slight run to plate.

Barron Holtz, OF/RHP, PEM, 2018
6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #28 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 6.78 runner. Square stance, leg kick trigger, flashes hard line drive contact, inverted swing plane, works middle of field, 81 mph exit velocity. 92 mph arm strength from outfield with accuracy and carry, lean athletic build, long strides and quick twitch actions, confident fielder and plays through ball well. On mound; shows rhythm and tempo to delivery, throws from OT slot, and works on downhill plane to hitter. Fastball was 85-87 mph, touching 88 mph, and hides ball from hitter. Tumbling action on 12/6 breaking ball with loose spin for strikes. Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed with avg. action at plate.

Carter Johnson, 2B/RHP, Apple Valley, 2018
5-foot-8, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.4 runner. Open stance, shows rhythm in hands, short to contact with compact swing, short finish with mid/pull approach, consistent solid contact, 78 mph exit velocity. Shows soft hands, sits to field, solid footwork, accurate to bag, 77 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; rocker step into event balance point, short arm action, arm finishes across body, upright stance on release. Fastball was 74-75 mph with avg. arm-side life and varying action. Has solid command of 11/5 breaking thrown with good arm speed. Solid fade with varying action on changeup for strikes.

Trey Kocher, OF/RHP, Apple Valley, 2018
6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #79 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 6.87 runner. Wide base, crouched stance, slight rhythm with body and hand load, flat path through zone, avg. extension, flashes pop in bat, uses whole field, 77 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete, avg. actions in field, sure hands, slight momentum working through ball, pie arm action with accurate throws to target, 87 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; overhead delivery, short stride down mound, ¾ arm action, shows extension and finish to plate. Fastball was 81-83 mph working down in zone with ASR. Breaking ball has cut action with tight spin and avg. depth. Throws changeup from same slot as fastball with running action for strikes.

Braeden Levandowski, RHP, St. Michael-Albertville, 2018
6-foot-2, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. Physical build with strong lower half. Aggressive in mound, throws everything with intent, moderate effort in delivery. Hitchy front leg in delivery with relatively clean arm action producing 83-86 mph fastballs with cut action. Breaking ball continued to improve throughout bullpen with flashes of late break. Changeup has chance to be above avg. with solid depth, running action, thrown with fastball arm speed.

Jonah Lewis, SS/RHP, Minnetonka, 2018
5-foot-9, 146-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.7 runner. Square stance, front heel turn trigger, short to contact, spray contact, uses whole field, 78 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in field, works through ball, clean exchanges, quick arm with carry and accuracy to bag, 82 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; solid athleticism in delivery, lands slightly across body, short arm action, with arm quickness out front. Fastball was 79-80 mph, touching 82 mph, with ability to repeat and throw strikes. 11/5 breaking ball has smaller shape and sharp break with depth. Changeup is thrown with stiff wrist and avg. feel for zone.

Andrew Maslowski, RHP, Tartan, 2018
6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed pitcher. Simple turn into balance point, leg kick with foot underneath body, short one-piece arm action, with some extension to plate. Fastball was 78-80 mph with cut action and flashes of down-hill plane. Drops arm slot on breaking ball creating loose early break. Avg. shape and action changeup with occasional cut.

Christian Medick, RHP, Jordan, 2018
6-foot-4, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. Controlled tempo on mound, even front knee at balance point, some stab and wrap on back-side, lands across body with stiffer finish. Fastball was 76-78 mph, delivered on downhill plane, with occasional cut action. Shows small shape and break on 10/5 curveball. Changeup was thrown with stiff wrist; left short of plate in this bullpen.

Grant Mergen, LHP, Maple Lake, 2018
6-foot-2, 172-pound left-handed pitcher. Lean projectable build. Short turn into balance point, gathers over rubber, lands on-line to plate and is upright on release. Long arm action with short finish producing 80-82 mph fastballs, on downhill plane, with flashes of late action. 2/8 breaking ball has small shape with late break. Avg. command of firm changeup with flat action.

Tyler Milford, 1B/LHP, New Prague, 2018
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #71 ranked player in MN 2018 class. Short into balance point, easy delivery to plate with clean H ¾ arm action. Fastball was 75-77 mph with slight run at plate. Shows command of sweeping breaking ball with avg. depth. Consistent arm speed on changeup for strikes; and looks to be an above avg. pitch. 7.06 runner. Tall square stance, slight body load, compact swing and stays short to contact, works mid/away with consistent line drive contact, 84 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete at position, works through ball, aggressive fielder, soft hands, accurate throws, comfortable receiving around bag, 73 mph arm strength across infield.

Seth Miller, RHP/3B, Blaine, 2018
5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #67 ranked player in MN 2018 class. Controlled delivery, easy effort on mound, slight wrapping action on back-side, with extension to plate. Fastball was 81-83 mph with solid life, consistent strikes, and flashes of late running action. Drops arm slot on breaking ball, has feel for zone, with slurvey break and avg. depth. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed; has running action and tight spin. 7.75 runner. Square stance, easy shoulder load, slight front heel turn trigger, aggressive hitter, good extension through contact, works middle of field, 84 mph exit velocity. Active feet, fields deep occasionally, solid glove, avg. range, small crow-hop on throws, accurate to bag, 82 mph arm strength across infield.

Dane Miller, RHP, Eagan, 2018
5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed pitcher. Clean fast arm, loose out front, ¾ slot, and ball jumps on hitter. Uptempo delivery with hitchy front leg to load over rubber. Fastball was consistently 84-85 mph, good command, with late life. Solid rotation on 10/4 curveball with late break for strikes. Flashes solid fade and action on changeup; consistently working bottom of zone. Previously un-ranked; Miller will make jump into MN 2018 rankings.

Mason Nadolney, SS/RHP, Minnetonka, 2018
6-foot-4, 210-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Physical build with present strength. Projects as corner infielder at next level. Currently #13 ranked player in MN 2018 class. 7.18 runner. Square stance, body and hand load, aggressive swinger, flashes pop in bat, 86 mph exit velocity. Shows solid footwork in field, avg. range at shortstop, glove plays with softer hands, long release on throws with carry and accuracy to bag, 86 mph arm strength across infield. On mound; quicker tempo to delivery, loses posture at balance point, shows good direction to plate with some extension on release. Short arm action producing 82-84 mph fastballs with late run for strikes. Shows ability to land curveball, big shape, and 11/5 spin for strikes. Solid fade on changeup with feel for zone.

Austin Nikolas, RHP/SS, St. Cloud Tech, 2018
6-foot, 165-pound right handed hitting 2-way player. #11 ranked player in MN 2018 class. Long arm swing delivers out of a true ¾ slot. Arm shows quickness and the ball jumps out of his hand. Good flow to the delivery. Fastball sat 85-86 mph with above avg. arm-side run. Slider backs up occasionally, but it could end up being a good pitch for him as he finds more touch with it. When he did show feel for it, it swept across the plate with tight spin at 74-75, and was easily a swing and miss pitch. Changeup worked with sink for strikes at 73-74 mph. 7.12 runner. Front heel turn triggers swing with pre-set hand and body load, flat bat plane, line drive contact, aggressive swinger, mid/pull approach, 85 mph exit velocity. Athletic at position with raw actions, sure hands, glove is occasionally stiff, makes plays, accurate arm, sinking action on throws from low 3/4 slot, 84 mph arm strength across infield.

Joe Parenteau, LHP/OF, DeLaSalle, 2018
5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Rolls into short balance point with slight crouch, high front side and hides ball from hitter, creates deception with slight pause in delivery. Longer arm action producing 74-76 mph fastballs with flat action to plate. 1/7 curveball is usable with solid shape and depth. Cutter is thrown for strikes with tight rotation and small shape. Changeup shows fade; left short of plate. 7.38 runner. Open stance, leg kick trigger, aggressive swinger, leans back at contact, mid/pull approach, 80 mph exit velocity. Active feet, quick to baseball, plays through and uses momentum on throws, solid overall actions in field, 83 mph arm strength.

Nathaniel Peterson, LHP/OF, Lakeville North, 2018
5-foot-10, 175-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. #16 ranked player in MN 2018 class. True ¾ slot. 85-87 mph throughout and touched 89 mph at the end. Repeated a difficult motion very well. Has a sort of pause at the top to let his leg go down and then out. Arm has easy strength and he controlled his fastball in the zone with some natural arm side run to it. Curveball was firm and up to 73mph, and he also featured a slider at 75-76 mph. There was not much differential in the two pitches, and the slider which is an above average, swing and miss pitch. Slider is firm and late breaking at the back leg of right-handers with tilt. 7.7 runner. Square stance, body load, rhythm in hands, hard line drive contact, mid/pull approach with flashes of pop in bat, 81 mph exit velocity. Above avg. arm, quick release, accurate to bag with carry, solid actions in field, 88 mph arm strength from outfield.

Cody Peterson, RHP/1B, Hill-Murray, 2018
5-foot-9, 200-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Uptempo delivery into higher balance point, short arm action from OT slot, lands in-line with catcher. Fastball was 71-73 mph with flat action to plate for strikes. Tends to drop arm slot on breaking ball causing loose spin to plate. Changeup has good depth with fade and sink to arm-side of plate. 7.77 runner. Extra moving parts in load and stride, difficulty repeating swing and timing, has present strength, mid/away approach, should make improvements by simplifying swing, 86 mph exit velocity. Active feet in field, solid range, comfortable around bag, sure hands, accurate arm, 80 mph arm strength across field.

Bryce Peterson, LHP/OF, Coon Rapids, 2018
5-foot-11, 195-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. Quicker tempo to delivery, lands across body, compact arm action, with extension to plate. Fastball has avg. life, thrown for strikes, at 79-81 mph. Tight spin on 1/7 breaking, shows late break, and is an above avg. pitch for him. Solid fade with cut action on changeup. 7.41 runner. Easy load and stride, line drive swing plane, quiet head through contact, works middle of field well with consistent hard contact. Shows appropriate footwork, plays on balls of feet, works through baseball, solid glove, occasionally fields with two hands, sinking action on throws with avg. accuracy, 80 mph arm strength from outfield.

Easy body load with rhythm in hands, clean path to contact, has extension to middle of field, transfers weight through contact, flashes hard contact, 85 mph exit velocity. Good footwork in field, creates direction, confident fielder with soft glove, wrap in arm action but comes out clean in front, on-line throws to target with accuracy, 85 mph arm strength from outfield. On mound; rolls into short balance point, leaks early from rubber occasionally, heavy on back-side of arm action, easy effort on fastball and is clean out front. Fastball was 77-79 mph, shows extension to plate, with flashes of arm-side life. 11/5 breaking ball was inconsistent but had solid 11/5 shape and depth. Changeup has fade and is comfortable throwing for strikes.

Fastball was 81-83 mph, consistent strikes, with late ASR. Late sweeping break on curveball; and looks to be best pitch. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed with above avg. depth and running action. 7.1 runner. Lean strength, square stance, lift in swing plane, flashes pop in bat, flyball contact, works middle of field consistently, 86 mph exit velocity. 6-foot, 160-pound left-handed pitcher. Choppy sequence and rhythm with upper half, slight collapse in lower half working down mound, arm is clean with minimal effort on front. Fastball was 78-81 mph with straight action to plate. Breaking ball has 2/7 shape, early break, and lands consistently for strikes. Hooks changeup early; shows solid depth with fade at bottom of zone.
