The PBR Jr. Future Games is a national invite only event that showcased the top talent from across the country. This tournament was held at PBR's premiere venue, Lakepoint in Emerson,GA. The Junior Future Games runs in conjuncture with the PBR Future Games which features the top unsigned sophomores from around the country. This is one of the most heavily recruited events of the year, and attracts more than 300 college coaches to Lakepoint every year.

The 2021 event was the first ever opportunity offered to Minnesota & select Iowa players to represent their state. The event started off with a pro-style workout on July 29th. The tournament started with 3 pool play games and then teams were seeded going into Sunday of bracket play.

2021 Team Minnesota squad made an immediate impact at the event by going 3-0 in pool play. As a team they were able to score the second most runs in pool play, with 34. They only gave up 8 runs which was also the second best in pool play. Going into bracket play team MN/IA was the number 2 seed. After playing an inspiring 3 games in pool play, beating many of the top teams from around the country, the team ran into a tough match up in bracket play to lose with the bases loaded due to the time limit.

2021 Team Minnesota- Scouting Reports

 

LUKE ADAMSSS / C / STILLWATER, MN / 2025

Athletic ball player. 7.48 60-yard dash. Adams is a jack of all trades type of player. He has the skills and athleticism to play all positions on the field effectively. Adams had a 2.13 pop time and 74 mph arm in the field. Adams has a compact repeatable swing that produces line drives to the gaps. He has good rhythm and an efficient bat path. Adams came up with big hits in big positions on the weekend. 

KADEN ALSTAD3B / RHP / DECORAH, IA / 2025

Big strong frame. 7.81 60-yard dash. 94mph exit velocity. Alstad has power in the bat that plays in game. Good rhythm, smooth hands, and long extension. Pull approach and consistent hard contact. Middle of the order type hitter. Strong arm and accurate throws. Solid glove work. On the mound Alstad threw all from the stretch from a high 3/4 slot. Alstad topped at 80mph with his fastball and mixed a 71-72 mph curveball.

MAX BERRISFORDRHP / C / DULUTH MARSHALL, MN / 2025

Long high waisted frame with room to add muscle. Berrisford on the mound sat 74-79mph. He has refined mechanics and throws a heavy fastball. He mixed well with his change up that had fade to the arm side. Berrisford is accurate and works the zone well. In the infield max has a smooth glove and a strong arm. He throws with accuracy and makes the plays that he should. Behind the plate he is able to work below the ball and threw a 2.09 pop. At the plate Berrisford has an efficient line drive swing. Gets in the front foot some, but extends well through the ball.

NICK BOWRONC / OF / ROCHESTER LOURDES, MN / 2025

Bowron has a strong athletic frame. Behind the plate he has refined glove work. He calls a good game, and has a strong arm. He threw a 2.10. Bowron ran a 7.61 60 yard dash. At the plate the LHH showed a compact repeatable swing with some big power to the big parts of the field. Bowron was a staple in the middle of the order during the tournament. On the mound he was able to run in up to 82mph with his fastball. Bowron has a strong arm, but is more of a prospect in the field at this point.

MASON BOYKENSS / OF / HENRY SIBLEY, MN / 2025

Athletic frame. Gap to gap type hitter with good feel for the barrel. Balanced repeatable swing. Drives down through the baseball and hit hard line drives to the gaps. Boyken had a 77mph exit velocity off of a tee. In the field Boyken showcased a smooth glove and an accurate arm (77mph) . Boyken played through injury on the weekend.

NICK CARLSONSS / 2B / CHAMPLIN PARK, MN / 2025

Long athletic frame will benefit from added strength. Ran a 7.72 60-yard dash. Efficient footwork and a very sure glove. Made the plays that he should. 70mph arm across the infield with good accuracy. At the plate Carlson had an 82mph exit velocity. Used all fields. Line drive hitter with good feel for the barrel. Smaller load. Smooth hands that work through the baseball with long extension.

ETHAN FELLINGLHP / OF / MAHTOMEDI, MN / 2025

Slender athletic frame with room to grow. Tracked the ball well in the outfield. Athletic movements. 7.32 60 yard dash. 79mph arm from the outfield. At the plate took very mature at bats and got on base in big situations. Tall smooth swing with long levers. Stays balanced throughout the swing. Long extension through the ball. On the mound the LHP has a loose arm from straight over the top. Felling's fastball topped at 78mph. He touted a 3 pitch mix of a 60-62mph breaking ball and a 63-64mph changeup.

WILLIAM HAASLHP / OF / ROCKFORD , MN / 2025

Slender frame. Loose arm action from the left side. Low 3/4 arm slot. Fastball topped at 77mph with lots of movement to the arm side. Haas touted a very effective 3 pitch mix with a breaking ball at 60-65mph and a change up at 64-68mph. Haas was very effective during his start on the weekend. Competed very well.

AJ LEVYSS / OF / STILLWATER, MN / 2025

Smaller quick twitch athlete. Table setter. Gamer. Levy is a max effort player in everything that he does. 6.99 60 yard dash. Compact swing with an efficient barrel. Very good feel for the barrel in game. Competed at the plate and came up with some big hits in important spots. Good feel on the base paths. Athletic movements in the infield and outfield.

LANDON MAJERUSRHP / OF / WACONIA , MN / 2025

Tall big frame with good athleticism. Imposing in the mound. Short arm action. Ball jumps out of his hand. Fastball topped at 85mph. Mixed with a curveball at 67-73mph. He used his breaking ball effectively when he pitched backwards. Majerus ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Showed his athleticism and arm strength(86mph) during the outfield workout. During BP Majerus looked to drive the baseball to the middle of the field. A high follow with a big arm and frame.

OWEN MARSOLEKLHP / 1B / DULUTH MARSHALL, MN / 2025

Good frame with room to add muscle. 7.65 60 yard dash. Good footwork at 1B and picked the ball well. At the plate he has a small load onto the backside. Efficient bat path that works up through the baseball. Marsolek is a gap to gap hitter that had success driving the ball to the opposite field gap. On the mound he has a lot of confidence. A heavy fastball that topped at 79mph and a late breaking curveball at 61-64mph. Very effective on the mound.

LUKE RYERSEC / RHP / EAST RIDGE, MN / 2025

Big physical frame with present strength. Tall stance long levers. Drives down through the baseball. Creates good lift. Refined swing with power in the barrel. Gap to gap approach. Long extension through the ball. Middle of the order type hitter.

BEN SCHEFERSRHP / 1B / NORWOOD YOUNG AMERICA, MN / 2025

Big physical frame with present strength. 7.60 60-yard dash. 82 mph exit velocity off of a tee. Pull approach. Flashed some pop to the pull side of the field. Pushed hands through the zone some. Wide base. Tendacny to get a little long through the zone. Picked it well at 1B. On the mound Schefers topped at 78mph. He threw a heavy fastball low in the zone. Mixed with a curveball at 67-69mph that was thrown with good intent. Effective on the mound.

JOE TIMMERMANRHP / 3B / ROSEMOUNT, MN / 2025

Present strength. Lots of confidence on the mound. Attacked hitters with the fastball. Topped the fastball at 82mph. The fastball showed late life through the zone and was getting on the hitters. Mixed with an aggressive 69-71mph breaking ball. Was very effective in his start. Also participated in the work out. Timmerman had an 88mph exit velocity and ran a 8.60 60-yard dash.

HUNTER VADEERRHP / OF / LYLE , MN / 2025

Strong athletic frame. Plays the game hard. 7.19 60 yard dash. Good first step to the baseball in the outfield. Has a strong arm with carry and good accuracy. Made a few mature plays in the outfield. At the plate, VaDeer had a 89mph exit velocity. Loads onto the backside well. Flat barrel through the zone with good extension. Line drive hitter to the gaps. Had a few big hits in big positions. Including an inside the park grand slam. On the mound VaDeer has an athletic delivery and drives down the mound well. His fastball topped at 80mph and was very heavy in the zone. Mixed well with the curveball at 69mph. Was very effective. Electric arm.

NOLAN WELKEOF / RHP / PLAINVIEW ELGIN MILLVILLE, MN / 2025

Strong athletic frame. 7.07 60 yard dash. Gamer and raw athlete. 83mph arm from the outfield. Welke has pop in the bat and power to the pull side. Compact pull swing. Swing is still raw, but good hand eye coordination. Had a few big extra-base hits on the weekend. Runs the bases very hard. Tracks the ball in the outfield well. Has a strong arm. On the mound Welke's fastball topped at 81mph. has an athletic delivery and a long arm action. Mixed with a 12/6 breaking ball with tight spin.
