The PBR MN Jr. Future Games Trials event took place Sunday, October 10th, 2021. The event was held at the West St. Paul Sports Dome. The event featured prospects from the 2026 grad class; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents and were evaluated by our scouting staff. 

There were a number of great individual performances this year at the PBR MN Junior Future Games Trials event.

SCOUTING REPORTS (ALPHA)

 

 

Easton Ahrens, Orono, 2026
Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 5-4, 115-pounds. Smaller athlete will benefit from added strength and growth.
Defense: 2.38-2.45 pop times. C: Quick feet to second base. Slides feet around home plate. Arm drags some, average accuracy. Switched between a balanced set up and on a knee. DEcent glove work and athleticism behind the plate. OF: Average movements. Plays through the ball. Average arm strength and throws were on target.
Arm: S/R. C - 63 mph. OF - 71 mph.
Hit: S/R.  Balanced repeatable swing. Small load with good extension. Decent feel for the barrel. Good rhythm. Bat path had the tendency to go out and round the ball. Line drive hitter
Power: 72.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.55 runner in the 60. 

Matthew Berkland, Wayzata, 2026
Positional Profile: C/SS
Body: 5-9, 145-pounds. Present strength, raw athlete.
Defense: 2.19-2.31 pop times. C: Set up on a knee. Developing glove work, but works from low to high with the glove. Blocks well and keeps the ball in front. Square wide set up. Quick feet, long arm to second base. Good accuracy. SS: Sits and waits some. More smooth when playing on the run. Descent hands. Strong arm with solid accuracy.
Arm: R/R. C - 69 mph. INF - 74 mph.
Hit: R/R. Developing swing, raw. Quick through the zone. Has some strength behind the barrel with hard contact to the gaps. Solid feel for the barrel.
Power: 82.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.76 runner in the 60. 

Andy Brown, Bloomington Jefferson, 2026
Positional Profile: C/2B
Body: 5-9, 141-pounds. Average athletic frame.
Defense: 2.25-2.35 pop times. C: Catches on a knee. Glove works low to high when receiving. Glove work is developing. Clean blocks. Feet go out and around some, quick transfer and good accuracy to second base. INF: Quick first step. Plays through the ball. Average hands. Quick transfer. Average arm strength. Some athleticism.
Arm: R/R. C - 65 mph. INF - 67 mph.
Hit: R/R.  Toe tap in the load. Controlled repeatable swing. Feel for the barrel. Line drive contact to the gaprs with average power.
Power: 75.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.85 runner in the 60. 

Ryan Christiansen, Apple Valley, 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/3B Big frame with room to fill in.
Body: 6-1, 157-pounds.
Defense: INF: Proper footwork. Good glove work. Good first step. Low ¾ arm across the infield. Strong arm. Feet are a little heavy.
Arm: R/R. INF - 73 mph.
Hit: R/R.  Big frame. Separates lower and upper body. Tilts top half over the baseball. Collapses some and had the tendency to get a little bit long. When he was on time he had smooth hands and flashed some pop to the pull side.
Power: 79.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 8.51 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Square setup. Big rocker step to a crouched leg kick. Drives down the mound well. Spins off after releasing the ball.
Arm Action: R/R. Low ¾. Throws across his body some and spins off some. Live arm.
FB: T77.00, 73-77 mph. Arm side run
CB: 61-64 mph. More of a slider. Smaller shape
CH: 63-65 mph. Arm side fade. 

John Evans, Wayzata, 2026
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-8, 120-pounds. Average athletic build. Will benefit from added strength.
Defense: OF: Aggressively plays through the ball. Average glove works. Decent arm strength and accuracy. Some athleticism.
Arm: R/L. OF - 71 mph.
Hit: R/L.  Tall stance. Upright bat. Dips hands when loading. Looks to lift the ball to the pull side. Inconsistent launch position and timing. Inconsistent feel for the barrel. Pull line drives. Spins off the ball.
Power: 74.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.96 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Tall upright set up. Small rocker step, stays tall through the leg kicks. Long down sweeping arm. Doesn’t utilize the lower half.
Arm Action: R/L. ¾ arm slot with more velo in there.
FB: T73.00, 69-72 mph. Flat through the zone.
CB: 61-63 mph. More of a slider. Smaller 10/4 shape.
CH: 62-64 mph. Push with a little fade. Developing.  

Harrison Falk, Edina, 2026
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-9, 130-pounds. Lanky athletic frame. Will benefit from added strength.
Defense:  INF: Worked around the baseball. Average movements. Decent glove work good arm strength. OF: Played through the ball. Strong arm with carry to the target. Solid glove work.
Arm: L/R. INF - 68 mph. OF - 77 mph.
Hit: L/R. Small load. Balanced set up. Looks to work up through the baseball. Leans on backside some. Middle to pull approach. Rolled through contact some. Pretty good feel for the barrel.
Power: 64.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 8.04 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Small rocker to a leaned back leg kick. Sweeps front leg down the mound.
Arm Action: L/R. Straight over the top. Pulls down with frontside.
FB: T73.00, 68-71 mph. Some arm side fade. Downward tilt.
CB: 59-66 mph. 12/6 with good shape and depth in the zone.
CH: 57-64 mph.  Slight fade. 

Easton Gasner, Rochester Mayo, 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/2B
Body: 5-10, 130-pounds. Lanky athletic build.
Defense: INF: Good first step. Gets around the baseball and works to first base. Average athleticism. Proper glove work.
Arm: R/R. INF - 67 mph.
Hit: R/R.  Tall stance with an upright barrel. Gets on to the backside in the load. Pushes hands out and around the baseball through contact. Slower barrel. Mostly ground balls to the pull side of the field.
Power: 66.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 8.07 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Methodical delivery. Small rocker step to a high leg kick. Balanced throughout. Stays on the backside.
Arm Action: R/R. High ¾ arm slot.
FB: T71.00, 67-70 mph. More in there. Fairly straight.
CB: 60-63 mph. 11/5 shape with sharp movement.
CH: 65-66 mph. Mostly straight, some fade. 

Brody Geislinger, Delano, 2026
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-5, 127-pounds. Smaller athlete.
Defense: INF: Hop. Gets around the baseball. Glove out and open. Sure footwork. Throws with accuracy. Average arm strength.
Arm: R/R. INF - 68 mph.
Hit: R/R.  Compact. Lifts leg in load. Downward attack on the ball to create backspin. Controlled repeatable swing. Quicks through the zone. Linedrive contact to the middle of the field.
Power: 74.00 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 8.01 runner in the 60.
