The PBR MN Preseason Underclass event for 2024 grads is coming to the Edina Dome on Sunday, March 20th, 2022.

This invite-only showcase spotlights some of the best up-and-coming young talent from Minnesota and the surrounding region. The Preseason Underclass has become a launching pad for freshman and sophomore prospects: Over the last six years over 210 high school prospects have made college commitments to continue their education and playing careers.

Max Arlich, one of the top uncommitted players in the class, will be in attendance on Sunday. The two-way talent was a Future Games participant last summer. A left-handed hitting, left-handed throwing pitcher, Arlich is currently ranked 248th in PBR’s 2024 national ranking. The East Ridge High School standout has a solid frame at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds and shows well on both sides of the ball. On the mound he flashes a fastball that has been low-to-mid 80s in addition to a 7.03 60 time, 84 mph infield velocity, and a TrackMan exit velocity of 93.4 mph. Arlich will be one to follow throughout the day as well as through the spring.

Another nationally-ranked player is Mahotmedi’s Josh Donna. The 421st ranked player in PBR’s 2024 class has made a name for himself over the past year. An athletic 6-foot, 175-pounds, Donna has impressed with his play and has the metrics to back it up. The SS/RHP runs a 6.97 60, throws 85 mph across the diamond, and posted a 92 mph exit velocity.  On the mound, Donna shows a fastball that sits 82-83 mph, topping at 84 mph. The majority of these numbers were recorded during showcases last summer and fall so it will be interesting to see where Donna is on Sunday.

A multitude of players will jump to the forefront in their respective classes with their performances at the event. The 2024 class has established themselves as a deep class filled with talented hitters, pitchers, and two-way prospects. Over 100 uncommitted players will be in Edina on March 20th, representing their respective high schools from across the region.
