21 Will Rogers (Arizona St commit) blasted a home run to left-center.  The Great Lakes catcher has a strong frame with a good base.  Shows rhythm in load and a gap to gap approach with pop

 

9/08/19

 

21 Great Lakes C Will Rogers ranked #381 overall in the PBR 2021 Rankings hit 3rd and started behind the plate.  Strong athletic frame that had a nice game defensively.  Moves well to block and shows strength in glove when receiving.  A flat swing plane with some bat speed and has pop potential at the plate.  

 

7/25/19

 

6-foot, 190-pound two-way player athletic build. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, athletic hitter, gap to gap approach, hard middle of the field contact. Showed above average pop with a home run to dead center. Closed out the game on the mound touching 87 mph, sitting 82-84 with deceptive delivery, fastball finished through the zone. Curveball played 66-67 11/5 shape and flashed a harder breaking ball at 72 mph that acted more slider. Later in the tournament against Windy City (Herbert), went 2-for-3 with a pull side double that rolled into the left field corner and an RBI single flared into centerfield.

6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  Ranked #386 overall in 2021 PBR Rankings.  6.96 runner.  Athletic physical presence.  Squared and balance setup.  Toe tap trigger and small hand load.  Mid/pull approach with hardline drive contact.  Pull pop with strength in barrel and consistent contact.  94 mph exit velocity.  C- Athletic setup with visible strength.  Receives well with ability to hold pitches.  Blocks well and works hard behind plate.  Good footwork with clean and quick exchange.  1.85-1.89 pop times with 80 mph arm strength. 

 

3/16/19

 

6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitting catcher. 7.01 runner. Athletic with solid present strength. Square stance, body load, uses lower half well, drives through baseball, squares with authority, line drive pop in bat to both gaps, 94 mph exit velocity. Strong setup, holds pitches in zone, easy movements, occasionally late to block, quick feet, some length to exchange, quick release, online throws with accuracy and carry to bag, 80 mph arm strength with 1.97-2.03 pop times.

 

7/11/18

 

5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  7.25 runner.  Balanced athletic set-up.  Short load to stride. Gap to gap approach and line drive/fly ball swing plane. Makes consistent hard contact to all fields with good pop.  85 mph exit velocity.  C- Good balance.  Polished above average receiver.  Good feet and transfer on a 1.90-2.03 pop time.  Throws are accurate with carry to bag.  76 mph arm strength. Follow in 2021 class.

 

3/17/18

 

5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher. 7.6 runner. Athletic build with wiry present strength, body load, slight arm bar, mid/away contact, line drive and fly ball approach, strong for age with solid bat speed, flashes pop in bat, 89 mph exit velocity. Overall one of top 2021 players in attendance, athletic behind plate, mobile to block, receives pitches well, sticks strikes  in zone, works through plate, has body control, clean arm action, accurate to bag, 75 mph arm strength with 1.95-2.07 pop times.
