Scouting Report

2017 PBR Future Games- 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. University of North Carolina commit. #15 ranked player in 2020 PBR Overall Rankings. Had a single and 3 walks in game action. 6.9 runner. Easy load and stride, short to contact, stays on and through, line drive swing plane with extension through baseball, 97 mph exit velocity. Comfortable in field with easy actions, good routes and angles, long strides and covers ground well, accurate to target with online throws that have carry, 94 mph arm from outfield. Slight tuck and turn over rubber, clean loose arm action, has extension to plate, ball jumps on hitter. Solid running action on fastball; compliments with one of better changeups in the 2020 class. Fastball was 85-90 mph, touching 91 mph, with 74-75 mph breaking ball, and an above avg. changeup at 73-77 mph.

3/19/17- 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Whippy arm from an immature frame. Ran his fastball up to 88 and sat 86-88 with some ASR. Crisply repeats motion. Dropped his elbow some on the slider (70mph), but it showed tight spin with 11/5-10/4 break. Got under it a bit, but it has a chance to be a swing and miss pitch. Showed plus feel for the changeup at 71-72 for strikes with nice fading action. Much more velocity to come for him as he matures. 7.02 runner with long strides. At the plate showed easy rhythm and balance with a two-handed hard swing and finish. Ball jumped off his bat and he worked line drives to the middle of the field. Arm worked with carry from the outfield with a loose, medium swing. 91 mph arm strength from outfield.
