PBR: Have you taken any visits? Do you have any scheduled in the near future?
HOLMES: I've visited Century CC after a tryout I had there recently. I have quite a few future visits that I am trying to find dates for that work best with my school and family schedules.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school?
HOLMES: Academic programs are the biggest thing I'm looking for in a school, but also a quality baseball program that fits me and has a family-like atmosphere for the team is important to me.

PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
HOLMES: During the spring I was happy learning a new position (2B), while batting .435 in conference against some very talented pitchers. I was named to the All-Section 6AAAA team which was very special to me. I was out a majority of the summer with a broken finger but was able to come back for Legion Sub-State and made it within one game of advancing to the state tournament but lost to Wayzata in the final game.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
HOLMES: Some of my goals for my senior year consist of continuing to improve my game behind the plate and in the box, also being a leader to the younger guys coming up as we will have a lot of incoming varsity players, having just graduated 12 seniors from our team in 2015. Also for my team both spring and summer to make it to state. This past spring and summer we came very close but just came up short, so I'm confident in our team to make it to state this year.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
HOLMES: I am the varsity quarterback for my high school football team.

PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT?
HOLMES: I currently have a 3.3 GPA with a 24 ACT.
