PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Dardis: I have been in contact with numerous schools from all levels including many from the Midwest, and some from East coast. It has been great learning about what each school can offer and what their programs are like, and I am still currently keeping my options open.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?

Dardis: I have sat down with coaches from Holy Cross (MA), Northwestern (IL), Minnesota St. Mankato, Concordia St. Paul, St. John's, and St. Olaf. I have a couple more visits lined up later this fall that I am looking forward to! I've also attended camps at Boston College and George Washington University in Nov.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Dardis: I am looking for a high academic school that is a little bigger in size, with a competitive baseball program. I am currently undecided on what I would like to study, but I am interested in Business, Exercise Science, and Videography/Film. Location is something that I am not overly worried about but finding a place that is welcoming and feels like home is very important.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?

Dardis: During my junior year I finished with a 7-1 record with a 1.4 ERA.  I was fortunate enough to compete in some really enjoyable games. Throughout the year I threw multiple complete games and achieved a couple complete-game shutouts, as well as my first no-hitter. At the end of the year I was selected to the All-Conference team, as well as voted team MVP by all the players in our program.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Dardis: This year I will be focusing on being a great captain and leader for our team. As a team, I'd like to make a run in sections and eventually reach the state tournament. I would also like to create an amazing brotherhood within the program. Personally, my goal is to jump in velocity by working hard this offseason and continue to better my off-speed pitches so that I am comfortable throwing them in any situation.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Dardis: I played football and basketball through my sophomore year. But now I am focusing on baseball and trying to repeat as intramural basketball champions at my school.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

Dardis: My ACT is currently a 28 and my GPA is 3.7.
