PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Leiner: I’ve heard from schools at all levels and am not committed to any particular level at this stage.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?

Leiner: I have been visiting campuses and meeting with coaches. A lot of coaches have told me to pick a school I can see myself at in case something happens where I can’t play baseball and I think that’s good advice.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Leiner: I want a school that has strong academics and feels like a good fit for me. I also want to work with coaches I feel a connection with.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?

Leiner: Highlights for me this year were hitting a 2 RBI triple at Siebert Field and playing in the State championship game at Target Field.

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Leiner: My goal is to get back to Target Field for the State championship game. I also want to work on becoming the best pitcher I can be.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Leiner: I play basketball.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

Leiner: My ACT is a 24 and my GPA is 3.4.
