Season Outlook
The Borgia Knights look to reload after losing their top two pitchers, catcher and center fielder from 2015.  However, with three underclassmen starting last season and a strong 16-4 junior varsity team, there is reason to believe this season can be a successful one.  Junior SS Gus Kleekamp will anchor the infield again this spring and will hit in the top of the order.  Kleekamp has speed and power, which makes it tough on opposing pitchers.  He will also see time on the mound.  The Knights will also feature two more players with 2015 post season honors.  Senior 1B Trey Hunter and sophomore 2B Drew Pointek will return from last years team that reached the district semifinals.  Sophomore RHP Jacob Unnerstall will see increased innings this spring to help lead the Knights.  Borgia could also get help from a talented freshman class in SS Louis Eckelkamp and C Joseph Schmidt.  Look for the Knights to make a run in the state playoffs in May, as they look to reload from the success in 2015.
