Missouri 2023 Class Rankings

Kevin Moulder
Missouri Scouting Director

The Missouri 2023 class is shaping up to be one of the more talented classes the state has ever produced and is recognized nationally as having many of the top players in the country. The class already features 12 committed players with many more expected to follow. The updated rankings feature over 75 new players entering the 200 player ranking, while also seeing a number of players shoot up the rankings including a new player taking over the top spot. Below we highlight the new number one ranked player, some of our big risers, top new comers, the top 10 and the complete Missouri 2023 class rankings.

The Top Spot

Adam Hachman LHP / Timberland, MO / 2023

The 6 foot 4 LHP has taken a significant jump since late last summer. At the Future Games Hachman pitched in the 82-84 range, with a solid feel for his changeup and showed promise and projection that all still holds true, except now the young lefty has been 89-91 with a plus curveball. There are no signs of the development slowing down anytime soon and he should be considered one of the countries top uncommitted players in the 2023 class.

College: Uncommitted

The Risers

Nazzan Zanetello SS / RHP / Christian Brothers College, MO / 2023

One of the countries top all-around athletes in the class Zanetello is a high end 2-way talent. A plus runner with good hands and super athletic actions on the infield. Offensively, he flashes bat speed and has strength behind the swing producing exit vlo's as high as 96. Positionally Zanetello still has lots of development and upside in front of him making him an exciting prospect to follow.

On the mound Zanetello a strike thrower has a polished feel for his 3-pitch mix including a fastball that is 86-90, with a solid changeup and a plus curveball that he has good command of.

Commitment: University of Miami

Lane Harris LHP / Francis Howell Central , MO / 2023

Another player who has taken a major jump during the "offseason" Harris is a mid 80's arm that tops out at 87 mph. What sets the young LHP a part from other is he features some of the best curveball metrics in the country with the ability to spin the breaking ball upwards of 3000 rpm.

College: Uncommitted

Tanner Paschke SS / RHP / Fort Zumwalt North, MO / 2023

An interesting 2-way talent to follow. On the mound Paschke's quick arm produces a 86-90 mph fastball to go along with a sharp breaking ball thrown 71-74 and a changeup that features plus arm side action. Offensively the infielder clearly has a plus arm from the left side of the diamond and lots of bat speed and power (95 exit vlo). 7.1 runner

College: Uncommitted

Kaden Peer UTL / RHP / CBC, MO / 2023

A left handed bat with a smooth swing that has bat speed and some natural lift producing low 90's exit vlo. Defensively he showcases a plus arm and can play both infield and OF. Peer is also an interesting pitching follow and has the ability to pitch at 85-88.

College: Uncommitted

Kamden Durnin SS / RHP / Camdenton, MO / 2023

An athletic SS the ability to hit. Lots of pop in the bat with some natural lift the swing produces a lot of well hit elevated line drives (exit vlo 94). Defensively showcases good hands and smooth infield actions with a plus throwing arm (87 across the diamond). 7.07 runner.

The Newcomers

Wil Libbert LHP / 1B / Blair Oaks , MO / 2023

The highest ranked new comer opened eyes at the MO Preseason All-State event. Featuring a clean high 3/4 arm action, pitching in the mid 80's and showing the ability to run it up to 89 mph. Libbert also showed a plus change up that has depth and some fade and a curveball.

College: Uncommitted

Gannon Snyder SS / RHP / Parkway West, MO / 2023

A physical bodied infielder with power potential. Snyder has leverage in his swing and the ball jumps off the barrel (93 exit vlo). Defensively he has good hands and a plus throwing arm and is most likely suited for a corner spot in the future. On the mound he features a riding fastball that is 84-86 and power breaking ball that has slurve action. Lots of upside potential.

College: Uncommitted

Caden Bogenpohl 3B / RHP / Jackson , MO / 2023

A physical 6 foot 5 left handed bat with PLUS POWER POTENTIAL. An athletic swing with bat speed producing consistent hard contact.  Perhaps the top power bat in the state that is a middle of the lineup type impact bat.

College: Uncommitted

Seth Benes RHP / 3B / Liberty , MO / 2023

Features a high 3/4 slot with a quick clean arm action. Presently sits 83-87 and shows the potential to have a high spin rate fastball (27 Bauer Units) and a 20.2 max IVB (Induced Vertical Break) giving him some high end fastball metrics. He will be an arm to follow and should expect to see future development.

College: Uncommitted

Collin Maloney RHP / 3B / Mehlville, MO / 2023

6 foot 2 RHP with a high 3/4 slot and clean arm action. The fastball that works at 85-87 mph he also has the makings of a quality slider and changeup. Maloney is a potential power arm that should be followed closely.
