True freshman outfielder Caden Bogenpohl is Missouri State’s top underclass prospect. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound center fielder reminds me physically and tools-wise of Oklahoma State’s Nolan Schubart. Bogenpohl, too, has huge raw power that plays in the game as he’s homered 14 times this season. However, with long levers, there is length to the left handed hitter’s swing that can be exposed and he will need to tighten it up moving forward. But, unlike Schubart, Bogenpohl is a better defender with plus arm strength from center field.

Headlining this class is OF/RHP Caden Bogenpohl (Jackson, 2023). At 6-foot-5, 235-pounds, Bogenpohl wields one of the loudest left-handed sticks in the state and he’s a highly impressive athlete for his stature, running a 6.95 60-yard dash this past winter. We’ve seen him blister balls in the upper-90s with regularity, peaking at 100.9 mph on his loudest barrel. His strength translates to the outfield (92 mph) and on the mound (90-92 mph) as well. There’s no denying the upside that Bogenpohl brings to the diamond.

There is no doubt that OF Caden Bogenpohl (Jackson, 2023) has some of the loudest tools in the entire state, regardless of class. At 6-foot-5, 235-pounds, Bogenpohl ran a 6.95 60-yard dash at the A’s Scout Day this winter and complimented that with a 101 mph max exit velocity in BP. His effortless ability to generate bat speed from the left side and flick balls gap-to-gap is certainly impressive, even more so given how he’s able to control his levers at that size. Bogenpohl’s strength worked its way up to his arm, where he was up to 92 mph from the outfield and reached the same high with his fastball on the mound, sitting 90-91 mph throughout his ‘pen.
